I recently used this pattern to make a baby quilt and I love it! Easy to follow instructions, nice diagrams, and tables showing exactly what you need to cut. She even has a guide breaking down the best way to cut your fabric for the least amount of waste. I usually get PDF patterns but it was helpful to have this physical copy as I could keep it propped open as I cut to double check my measurements easily and quickly. Maybe I’ll make the lap version next!

Made the little llama baby quilt and it turned out cute. Kept the “quilting†bit simple as to not take away from the llamas.This was my first time quilting and I had problems with seam allowance at first which was throwing off my measurements. I had to use the madam sewing feet and used the quilting foot to finally achieve the correct seams.The directions are for the most good and clear. My only complaint is I had to bounce around a little looking for what seam allowance to sew at (very first page) and then looking for bias instructions, those were nested in the sewing instructions in like the last paragraph instead of with the cutting instructions.

Great instructions. I did add embroidery floss for eye lashes. I also used the fabric they suggested. Good company to order from

All of Elizabeth Hartman’s patterns are nice and well written. Nice quality mini booklet. It’s the size of half sheet of paper. Good quality paper. Stapled booklet. Full color instructions. Plus llamas are so very cute.

I have used Elizabeth Hartman plans before and highly recommend them. She does an excellent job with the instructions. My sister-in-law picked this pattern for her future grandchild. I love the llamas, but will reconfigured the baby quilt to include 4 of them instead of just two.
