I have no way to measure the heat but with the thickness of the pad, way it sponge down taking up gap it would have no choice but to transfer heat away... for the $11... why not if it may make my 4tb last longer.

In short: This product is perfect for the Western Digital SN850 2TB and the Sony Playstation 5.I've seen some heatsinks have bad reviews because of idiots placing a heatsink on top of a heatsink. Of course it won't fit because it already has one. This is meant for NVMe M.2 drives WITHOUT heatsinks so that you can ADD one and prevent thermal throttling due to heat.This product is able to use Sony's intended negative air pressure design for better cooling because it is designed to be a cover for the M.2 slot on the PS5.The following advice is for WD SN850 users: Copy the official WD thermal pad setup. Place the included individual thermal pads over the Sandisk NAND (two big squares beside each other) and the Sandisk controller (the remaining big square). You DO NOT need to void warranty by remove the sticker because it is thermal conductive. WD SN850 is single sided so you don't need to place thermal pads on the other side.I copied the official thermal pad placement from a disassembly of the official heatsink version of the WD SN850 which places thermal pads only on the NAND packages (two big squares) and the Sandisk controller (the remaining big square). Although Gamer's Nexus does recommend considering to only place thermal pads on the memory controller because NAND packages prefer to run hot e.g. 40 degrees Celsius, I trust Western Digital's own thermal pad setup since they are the one that designed the product and should know best. NASCompares also has a Youtube video about heatsinks on the WD SN850 if you want to learn more.In Summary: Great heatsink, use the individual thermal pads and place them strategically depending on your SSD.

Nice design for airflow. Would be better if it came with different colour options, and thise options remaining ariund same price.But so far,.. it is as desscribed.

Queda perfecto en el ps5 trae todo lo que necesitas para la instalación como pads térmicos y desarmador, hasta ahorita ha cumplido con su propósito y estéticamente se ve bien, lo usé con un m.2 kingston fury renegade y quedó perfecto.

Not sure how much difference it makes, but it's nice amd seems to get warm, which I assume means it's doing what it needs to.
