This fits my FT-60R perfectly and replaces the old one that was tired. Now it's like new whereas the original battery had worn out and no longer lasted more than a few minutes.

Bought this battery new charged it once just fine. Did not used the radio for a while and when I did I happened to leave it turned on and killed the battery. Now it will only charge to 5.6 volts not to full charge. I am past the return time on this battery so I guess I eat it. I even bought a brand new charger and it did not help. Highly disappointed.

I have not used the battery much yet, just put it into an old Yaesu VX-150 and powered on.It fits. It works. It saves an old 2m handheld radio from the junk pile.---------------May 2022 update:Just about 1 year later, this battery pack can no longer provide enough power to run the radio. After charging overnight via the radio, then unplugging the charger, when I turn on the radio and key the PTT, the radio immediately resets.Plugging the charge cable back in, pressing "F" and "Set" and dialing to "37 Batt", I can see the charging voltage of 13.9V. But when I unplug, the voltage sags below 6.8V immediately.

This battery is a drop-in replacement for the FNB-83 Yaesu battery. It works just fine and priced well below OEM. It does have the cover in the lower right hand corner that will need to be removed if you plan to use a stand charger. I only use the side panel charging Jack, and it works without modifications.

Near perfect replacement except for needing to peel off a corner of the plastic on the bottom battery (right circled area) for it to make contact with the radio’s bottom left pin (center circle) as it is on the OEM battery (left circle). After that mod, it works real good and lasts a long time ðŸ‘ðŸ¼.

One month and 9 days I've had this, and it's a paper weight. Says it's fully charged after 5 minutes, then can't even key up the radio without killing it. Will he buying vertex/yaesu from now on.
