I’ve put these in 3 Scx24s and they are a definite upgrade from stock especially when paired with aluminum steering links as for how powerful they are I couldn’t tell you because I run as little weight on my rigs as possible if I don’t need to add brass I don’t but I ordered a portal kit and these servos turn it with no problem I would say it’s with it for a cheap upgrade

They are very well made and indeed all gears are metal....No plastic ! The only thing I would encourage anyone to look into is delivery time. Call the seller's phone and check stock. My second order for this product was not delivered in less than a week as was the first one. The second one was actually ordered in Hong Kong and sent to mainland China. They in turn sent the products to Hong Kong who sent it to California who sent it to Chicago and then to Milwaukee.........3 weeks!! Great product for sure !!!! Worked perfectly

I purchased the Axial SCX24 JLU and while it was fun, I found the stock servo to be somewhat lacking in power while on an incline. So, I looked around and came across these as a suggested replacement. Yes and no. The width (AS-1 vs ES08M) is 21.3mm vs 23.6mm (give or take). Off the bat you know you'll need to mod the stock servo tray. Either fidget with it a bit or buy a replacement that will fit the ES08M. You'll be better served if you trimmed the servo screw mounts a bit so it'll fit neater within the chassis. On my SCX24 JLU, it was just BARELY in between and would rub or hang when flexing. The wire comes straight down on these vs the AS-1 where it comes out directly at the sides. The cable is pretty damn long at about 250mm compared to the AS-1 at 58mm. That's pretty damn long for a tiny servo. Did I mention it was taller? So instead of the steering rod links being parallel with the front bumper, it'll stick out about 2mm. Not an issue but in case you're tight for space. So that's the jist for fitment. It's noisy but has some power. Obviously since it is a bit stronger it'll make a little more noise. Now, noise is subjective so keep that in mind but I did notice these were noisier than the AS-1.All in all, these are about the only ones you can buy to replace the stock AS-1 servo if you need something stronger. If you do find a smaller one that's just as strong if not stronger, reply and let us all know.

I have put prior ones in one of my planes and they continue to work well. These are the only ones I use in my smaller planes.

a MINI servo should be 27-30g, and 13mm W x 32mm L.these are 12g, and 11.5mm W x 23mm L. not even close, as per motionrc.com/blogs/motion-rc-blog/servo-size
