If you are looking for a simple and minimalist label maker I highly recommend this. I like the font and how simple and clean the labels look after use.

Price is great considering how many tapes come with and how much the tape is separate. I ended up finding a heavier duty old school metal embossing gun at a thrift store for $.48 and it was easier to punch with less effort. This embossing gun is okay but feels a little fragile for how often I would use it and how firmly you need to press/squeeze for the embossing to come out correctly. Letters do come out a little cockeyed at times as stated in other reviews. That may be fine for art but would frustrate me if making labels for organization and esthetic purposes.

I love this thing. As most reviews mentioned, the spacing and especially the alignment are not perfect, but it's pretty much exactly what I expected for the style of the turning mechanism. It's great quality for the price in my opinion. Once you get used to it, rotating the dial for longer words or labels goes pretty fast. Its easy to use and doesnt take a lot of hand strength. Just remember to put a space before every first letter and after every last one, or part of the letter will be cut off (see my second image). It's kind of loud, so you might not want to use it in an open office setting, for example. Feeding the tape can sometimes be tricky, or it might get jammed after cutting a label and then restarting a new one, but I think it's great for the cost!

This makes my crafty heart so happy. It's a retro style label maker so it's manual and you have to press hard for the letters to show clearly. Love that this includes plenty of tape with several colors too. Sticks well and seems durable. Great buy!

It stamps all over the tap compared to the Dymo, but the Dymo broke after a few uses so Im not sure if any of these are good…. Its bout the same quality as the Dymo you can get for $15 at other stores.Returning because the ‘S’ ALWAYS half prints and I want at least mostly straight printing.
