This wooden stand is a game changer for my embroidery/cross stitch! It was easy to put together. It fits my wooden hoops (which are what I use due to cost and ability to then frame finished works). Great value for the cost.I did read a review stating it would not hold the hoop. If this happens to you, put the screw in the opposite way. Mine has been steady since I reversed the screw.I have been able to use this on my couch in addition to a chair with no cushion. Can’t wait to try it out in the car in a trip!It is a solid construction. Wood is sanded smooth. You could paint or stain if you wanted to but I like the look of the wood.Overall I recommend this for product. It has allowed me to have both hands to stitch. It is easily taken anywhere making it highly functional for stitchers.

I hesitated to buy a stand and didn’t want to spend too much. This one seemed like a good deal so I went for it. And man oh man am I glad that I did. Super easy to set up and even easier to use. I appreciate that I can rotate my work upside down to tie off my stitches. It’s solid wood and well made. If you embroider or cross stitch this is a must have. No more cramping left hand from holding the hoop!!

Love that I can now do hands free on the embroidery hoop. If you have arthritis in your hands it’s a god send. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the wooden base that you put under your leg was not a smooth finish. I had to hand sand it into get rough raw wood smooth so it didn’t snag my clothes. It was easy to assemble with the picture given. I would recommend this product.

Works great! Perfect to use anywhere. On the floor, couch, and car. I love it. It works great with plastic hoops.

I’m a beginner and didn’t want to spend a lot for my occasional project needs. This holder is great! I’ve used it while sitting in desk chairs and on sofas and I love it. I just put it under my leg and it’s very sturdy. Very adjustable and easy to move when working in different areas in the hoop.

I thought this would be just wonderful for my embroidery projests. Either I sit funny or it only works with dining room type chairs, or something. I just can't get it adjusted so that it works for me. I admire how it allgoes together! I don't intend to get rid of it because maybe I can get it to work for me. I have trouble sitting at a table with the straight chairs due to a back problem. Maybe it will be the best thing in the world for someone who works at a table.

This was a waste of time and money. Assembly is easy IF the parts were properly sized. The wooden screw (#3) is about 2 sizes too large to fit into the designated hole. I also don't like that the part that holds the hoop you are working with is not very sturdy. It really should have its own nut to screw into at the bottom of the assembly, but it doesn't. You just have part number 8 going through the two pieces of the hoop holding parts. To pack it up, get to a drop-off location, is a real pain and a waste of time. Do not choose this frame.

It's quite stable and sturdy and well made for what it's designed for! You can adjust the height of the loop and also rotate the hoop. Overall a great purchase and very happy with it!

This is very easy to assemble and is a game changer for cross stitch. You will have much less stress on your hand while stitching because the lap frame holds your hoop and fabric firmly in place.

It works great, holds my embroidery and has nice contours so it actually looks like a nice little piece in my home. I just wish it adjusted down further. I have it on the lowest adjustment and it's eye level to me at my kitchen table. I can't imagine why you'd want it higher than that, it would be unusable. I'm used to holding my hoop lower, so it'll take some time to get used to it being so high in the air. My stitching arm is getting more tired than it used to. But this will help heal the tendonitis I developed in my other arm from holding my hoop for hours at a time, so I do plan to use it and am mostly happy with it. I'll just have to try to rest the elbow of my stitching arm onto my table as I stitch.

Great product for my wife - the insert was a bit long, but I just cut a couple of inches off and it's now perfect.
