I'd call this a light- to medium-weight socket set. The articulating head and short handle mean you can't (and shouldn't) apply as much torque as you can to a 1/2" drive, solid-handle set. Additionally, the design of the sockets could make them strip within the ratchet handle if you apply too much force. Better to leave this set to lighter tasks. Luckily, the whole set is pretty compactly stored with the molded plastic case and the entire kit can be stashed easily under the seat of your car, in a kitchen drawer, etc.On the down side, the sockets aren't compatible with any other ratchet handle, nor are other sockets compatible with this set's handle.Overall, though, this is a handy set—as long as you don't expect it to stand up to extreme forces (wheel lugs, for example).

I am thoroughly impressed by the intelligence of this spanner set. I have a couple of sets of spanners with a flexible head, but the added functionality of having multiple sizes fit in the same socket is brilliant.The overall quality is excellent, and it takes up a fraction of the space that my usual set of sockets or spanners would. Additionally, it has the bonus of a flexible head.Due to its flexibility, this tool has become prominent in my set for service calls. I'm not sure if this company was the original designer of this particular style, but if they were, they're brilliant. It's a high-end piece of tooling I highly recommend as a gift for your typical DIY person.The range is excellent, covering sizes 8 to 18 millimetres and the bit holder. The only downside is that it doesn't have an open-spanner option.As a tool junkie myself, this is easy to recommend.

A light duty set that is good for around the home and garage. With twelve sizes of sockets (two on the swivel head wrench) and 24 screwdriver bits, I can use them everywhere around my home or when travelling. Switching to a different socket or screwdriver size is quick. All the popular sizes are there, including the "hard to keep an eye on" 10mm socket.Although this is a decent set, I wouldn't recommend you to put a lot of torque on the parts. They could fail under heavy pressure as the sockets are thin walled.This tool set is lightweight and small enough to pack anywhere you travel. I'm giving this set five stars as I believe this set will work well for its intended purpose.
