I bought this for my balcony that is a stones throw away from Lake Erie, and with some trepidation. However, after filling it with soil and flowers, and several powerful spring/summer storms rolling in across the lake; this product has remained in place and provided a welcome living bouquet, just as I had hoped. Not with standing the railing I attached it to is an odd size and it doesn’t “fit†exactly, however the quality of the engineering has overcome all obstacles.

Just sent these back to Amazon. There was sorrow in my heart. Why? Good question. I took the time to measure my deck rail and it measured 5.5 inches. Description says it will fit on a 6 inch rail. This is accurate but not helpful. Another reviewer said it fits a 6 inch rail. What you need to know is that it sits on top of the rail like a regular flower pot. It does not snug up into the pot bottom. It looks like you would need a rail that was closer to 4 inches if you wanted the planter to slide snug into the cutout. Otherwise if your rail is wider than 4 inches it’s just going to sit on top of the rail. I returned these because there didn’t seem to be enough stability to the pot just sitting on the top of rail without sliding down to the cut off. So disappointed because it is a nice pot in all other ways. I just didn’t want to be picking up a mess every time we have a storm.

These planter boxes, according to EMSCO, can fit 3 different railing sizes. I needed 6" to sit on my railing. They actually sat on my railing. However, there was nothing suggesting a need to secure with nails, ties, etc. to secure them on my railing. It would take no more than a 5-mph wind to knock them off the rail. I bought 8 planters based on the color and size, and the fit of 6". Unfortunately, I broke down the boxes they came it, expecting them to fit perfectly due to manufacture's descriptions. In order to return them, I had to spend more money to buy boxes to send them back, due to EMSCO false/misleading advertising.

Cheap and somewhat sturdy, will warp under heavy loads and fall off. Would not use anywhere that falling to the ground would be dangerous (2nd story or above)

This is a great planter. I planted fuschias in it. I did, however, add a few more drain holes in the bottom.

I had been scouring the internet for some planters that would fit on my balcony railing. For reference, the railing is about 1 inch in diameter and the planters fit perfectly! They are much larger than I originally thought, but I'm very happy with the size!I would recommend mixing your soil with clay pebbles/leca so the planters aren't as heavy, especially if you are putting them on a railing.

I really like this balcony flower pot and i bought two.But it only gave one stand on the bottom for each pot and it is not so stable and safe especially on the fifth floor. Could you kindly give me the second stand for each pot to safely stabilize the two pots on balcony.
