Raccoons are jerks! I have ordered this product three times and have been pleased each time. The cat and goat food barrels are now secure even when the little jerks bash them against the brick wall trying to break into the metal trash cans. Love these things as the raccoons can't bite through the bungie cords either.

I had misgivings about the flexibility and durability when ordering but decided to take a chance.Turns out that this was a perfect solution to a raccoon problem with the trash. Easy to secure, fit well even on my convex lid and keeps the critters out. For the money, this is great and solves the problem!

I live in a rural area and purchased this item after it seemed that raccoons had gotten into my trash can on the back porch. I don’t have anywhere else to keep the trash can (no garage) so figured the lock would at least keep the raccoons from making a mess.Well… something dragged my trash can down the porch steps and about 50 feet away from the house, smashed it and got the lid off, and left a trail of garbage. On the plus side, you can see from the pic that the lock stayed locked! So if your problem is raccoon-sized or smaller, this may work for you. But if you got something bigger, they’ll still get your trash, and then you’ll need to shell out for a new trash can, too.

I was sick and tired of racoons toppling my trash can over every week! I put a large rock on top of the cover but that didnt deter them. There are huge scratch/bite marks all over the cover and they were going NUTS getting trash all over my driveway! Had enough of it and I got a new flip top lid barrel - like a smaller recycle bin style but this bungee around it, snapped it in place effortlessly and NO MORE TIPPED TRASH CAN! They cant get into it at all especially with the locking feature and snug fit. This is a MUST BUY

Good strong cord and clip, easy to adjust between a 30 or 50 litre bin. Only started using it so can’t comment on how long it will last but looks and feels well made.

No more animals missing with my garbage cans. A great invention. I could see my garbage can is being dislocated but the lid is strongly attached to the container. I don't have to worry about cleaning after the raccoon any more.

I used it on a metal can that we keep sunflower seeds in for the bird feeders. The squirrels ate through the bungies within three months. A brick works better.

Threw this thing on our worn out "Animal Proof" can, that Animals had penetrated and decimated for months now. They must be hungry and mad now. This thing WORKS! :)

So far we have had our trash cans knocked over a couple times since buying these straps. These have stopped the raccoons from getting to the trash and spreading it all over the backyard. Well worth the $$ for a simple to install strap that’s easy for us to use
