About this item

  • Durability is superior for cars, trucks and SUVs; road salt, oil, and a host of other common under car contaminants will eventually destroy the rubber bushings on your vehicles, not to mention the weight and torque forces that typically compress rubber
  • Hyper-Flex replacement polyurethane components stand up well to contaminants that often destroy rubber and have been engineered to give longer-lasting performance and not compress permanently
  • Hyper-Flex is offered in a variety of durometers (firmness or softness), depending on product application; performance tested and race proven; used for all of Energy Suspension products that require a higher level of performance and durability
  • If you are modifying, building a new vehicle for scratch or restoring an old one, Energy Suspension's Hyper-Flex performance polyurethane should be the 'ground zero' focus of your present and next vehicle plans
  • Over two decades of in-house experience in innovating, engineering and formulating wide selection of polyurethane components for many different industries, Energy Suspension has qualified as premier manufacturer of high quality polyurethane products

I was getting outside cupping of my beloved Goodyear Wranglers on my 2000 Excursion 7.3L 2x4. I had it aligned 3 years prior with all new Moog ball joints and tie rods with my red-head steering gear, but the Louisiana roads killed that after 2 years and my dumb-self kept driving and my tires started getting louder...The install is intimidating, but easy. Here are some tips: You need a cordless drill and a few different size bits around 1/4" to drill out the old bushing, you'll need a long screwdriver to pry/pull/push the old bushing out, a piece of 2x4 or 2x6 will help hold the passenger I-beam down, you'll need a long pry bar to hold the driver I-beam downward, you don't have to remove the shocks or anything else other than the bushing bolts and driver's side bushing mount, and finally a good razor knife to scrape the old rubber out of the bushing cup that will remain in the I-beam.The bushings make the truck handle and steer with better accuracy and the ride seems smoother, even on the same 3 year old KYB MonoMax and no other improvements. My noisy front tires now rod on the center of the tires and were less noisy. After another Pro-level alignment (not Pep-Boys) and two new-take off Goodyears installed, my truck is 100% quieter on pavement and asphalt around Shreveport/Bossier. That is saying a lot! I wish I would have installed these back in 2003 when I bought the truck!

Just what I needed for my 94.5 f350 dually. Be sure when replacing with this set to leave the metal sleeve used on oem style in the axle. Only remove the rubber, clean the sleeve well and lube this one up well with included lube and press it in with ball joint press or big c clamp.

Stiffened the suspension, which is good. These bushings do not have an outer shell. The outer shell from the old bushing must stay in the pivot of the I-beam (hole the bushing is in). These bushings are pressed into the old bushing's outer shell. This means that any rubber remaining in the old bushing will have to be remove from the shell in order to install these new bushings. The old bushing rubber is bonded to the outer shell. I had to use a hammer, chisel and file, not easy, irritating. Then I could not get all of the rubber out of the shell, so it was difficult getting these bushings to install in the old shell. I had to get a couple of large washers and used the pivot bolts to press these into the shell before installation. It also means that if the old bushing is worn too badly and the inner roller has fallen through the rubber and worn the outer shell, it may be ruined. Make sure that your old bushings are not worn too badly and that you are willing to do some work to remove the older bushing rubber before you buy these. The good side of using these bushings is that you do not have to remove the old bushings from the I-beam using a ball joint, or other type of press. Hand tools can be used but be prepared to do some work under your vehicle to clean out the old bushing shells.

These were used to replace the original bushing on a 2001 F250 Lariat. Installing these is much easier than removing the old ones. They were installed without removing the axles. These bushings help solve the "death wobble" I started experiencing and stopped the wandering felt through the steering wheel.

Put this in a 99 F250 7.3. Factory bushings were cracked on one I beam and ok on the other. Greatly improved the front end firmness and handling. Would buy again
