Part works as advertised. I had an oil pressure gauge reading that was maxed out on '04 GMC truck.This part goes on the top of the engine block all the way to the back by the firewall. NOT FUN!I needed to buy a special socket to fi it and use several different kinds of extensions combined with a u-joint/swivel type socket adaptor to get it re-installed. It took about 2 hours +. I had to use a small step stool and lay on the engine, blindly wresting with this one. Once installed it worked and readings were back to normal so it definitely resolved the problem.Note: If you don't have a lot of tools and experience/know-how you may want to let a mechanic handle replacing this. Especially if you rely on one vehicle because you can't drive it without this installed.

I put this in my 2007 suburban (it is right behind the intake manifold on the right), and my oil pressure gauge started working again. I now know the oil pressure, and if it is getting low or not. It worked great and is easy to install yourself.

Well first of all I got this for a 07 GMC Sierra 1500. My oil gauge quit working and most of the tutorials on YTube said this is the problem (oil pressure sensor). After getting everything needed it was truly a pian to reach the old part but with a struggle, it was changed out. 1st time staring truck the gauge didnt work, had my son check the connector, when he heard the click, tried it again. Shewwww, it worked.

The included screen was slightly to large to fit all the way into the hold. I probably could have sanded it down, but I just used the old screen. The sensor itself seems fine. Installed on 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP with 5.3 LS4.

2003 Silverado SS - my truck does not have the screen filter like this sensor comes with. The sensor itself is identical to the factory original. Installed and it appears to be working correctly with no issues. Much cheaper than GM part!

Installed and it lasted less than 2 months and failed, cost 5x in labor to install , don’t do as I did and waste your money only to have it replaced again

If you're working on a GMC/chevy do yourself a favor and just remove the intake manifold. It seems daunting but its really not bad, I did it last year to replace the knock sensors, probably took me less than an hour to get it off. An hour or 2 to clean the mating surfaces, and less than an hour to get it back together.You might have a better line of sight on the 5.3l engines, but on the 6.0 Sierra you're replacing this thing essentially blind by not removing the manifold. I used a little telescoping mirror to see what I was doing and it kinda sorta worked but it was a PITA. And theres incredibly little room to move your hand back there.The plus side is if you've yet to replace your knock sensors this is the perfect time to kill 2 birds with one stone....if they haven't gone bad yet they probably will soon, things are notorious for getting wet and rusty. Watch some vids, and be sure to build a "silicone dam" around the new ones.And fyi, on the 2006 sierra at least there appears to be no screen to replace. Again hard to be sure because I was looking at the hole via a 1 inch diameter mirror, but it looks like there's not even recess for the screen to fit. Dropped the new one in and it just sat above the hole blocking the threads, and getting it back out was another PITA. It's possible I just couldn't see the old screen but in any case the sensor worked fine after install. So just toss the screen if you've got the same engine.There is a specialty socket for replacing this sensor, but I was able to use a regular 1-1/16" deep-well 6-pt socket and only rounded the edges ever so slightly. I think the specialty socket has a thinner wall and might make your life a hair easier but idno.

I bought it but I have no clue how to installed. Hopefully I’ll take my Tahoe to Mexico and get it done there.
