This worker perfect for fixing my temperature lights. It was an easy do-it-yourself fix that saved me approximately $80 or more. I'm very happy.

I am taking back anything bad I previously said about this coolant temperature sensor, I was wrong and I wanna make up for it hopefully it'll help someone decide to purchase it highly recommend no need to deal with your local automotive stores unless is an emergency but other than that if amazon sells it why bother anywhere else I cleared my codes after installation see images for identification of a two piece on my left and the new sensor on my right once the adapter has been removed from radiator adapter screw in new sensor and reinstall back to radiator plug back the electrical connection and that should be all you need happy with my purchase highly recommended thank you...

Order that yesterday, and received this sensor this morning (overnight delivery) Did not take long to install it. Started the engine, and kept waiting for the temperature gauge to raise up. Before the cooling fan turns on, I saw liquid coming out from the sensor. Turned off the engine, and when I tried to uninstall the sensor, the sensor BROKE. (I did not tight up crazily the sensor, otherwise, I won't get leaking) It took me almost an hour to take out the broken parts. I almost gave up, and ready to pay for qualified mechanic to out the residue for me. Luckily, I took it out. This sensor is extremely fragile as if it is made of card board. Even worse, I took a close look of the sensor, the O-ring was missing (that's why it leaks).Lousy quality + missing component = A Piece Of Junk!!Stay away from this sensor, or you may need to pay hundreds of dollars taking out the residue.Be Warned!!!

I had a check engine light that was on due to a faulty coolant temperature sensor on a 2007 Civic. A friend read the code, plus the temp gauge never went up even when it was blowing hot air. Some model years apparently have a lower sensor as well, this it the top one that's easy to get to. It does take a deep 17mm socket, which I had to borrow. My standard sockets weren't deep enough for the connector on top to recess inside of the socket. Once it was installed (new gasket is included) I removed the negative (black) battery cable for a few seconds to clear the code. The engine temperature gauge started rising with engine warm-up which it hadn't done for months. So far the check engine light has remained off so all went well.

The first one I bought (same item, same seller) is the one on the left, the second one is on the right.I accidentally broke the first one while removing the valve head and purchased a new one. What’s weird is that they look like two different sizes. They both fit just unsure about the difference.4* based on the inconsistency but they seem to work.

Works fine. I guessed the extreme low temperature during Xmas damaged the old original sensor for my 2006 Honda ridgeline and it gave the wrong reading such that the cooling fan for the radiator wouldn’t shut off even after I turned off the engine. It sure caused also other weird codes. But after installing the new this sensor , all the troubles went away. Very happy about the product and the price.
