I am very impressed with everything that came in this engraving kit. It was actually a little intimidating at first, but the instruction manual was helpful, and with so many options I find myself searching around for more reasons to use it. The pen indeed looks professional. It is light and a comfortable size for my small hands. Love that it’s cordless and rechargeable, with the battery lasting a long time per charge. I used the engraving pen on three plastic surfaces of differing hardness over several days, and while a long run time does generate heat in the unit, the battery indicator has barely dropped despite all of my bit testing. The tiny screw that tightens the bit shafts is a bear to find if you drop it, so try not to unscrew it all the way and also be happy it came with a backup. Dropping the screw and the small hex key that fits it was my main frustration at first, but once I figured out it only takes a turn or two to easily remove and change a bit, all has been well. It doesn’t take long to get the hang of handling the pen steadily. I find level 3 too vigorous, but can apply my usual script at level 2, just at a slower pace than normal writing. The pen and bits engraved easily on the two softer plastic surfaces, but they struggled with the tougher material on my scuba gauge housing. It did work but the engraving is very light on the harder plastic, even after a few repetitive strokes. Sometimes turning the bit helped, like it finds a better edge along the round. While the engraving kit is not inexpensive, I think it is a good value for its easy function, wide potential, and everything included with the pen.

The engraver arrived with instructions, charging cable, a pack of stencils and a small plastic case to hold everything. This little pen fits the hand very nicely and is comfortable to work with. I used this device to etch some glassware and was impressed with the results. The stencils make short work of etching designs on glass. I tried etching metal and plastic with great results also. The battery seems to hold an adequate charge for doing small projects with plenty of power to spare. There are 3 speeds available and the on/off button cycles thru each one. There are 30 diamond bits, a couple very small drill bits and several polishing/grinding stones that should fit the needs of most amateur engravers. I have enjoyed testing this tool and look forward to future use.

A Sharpie marker has been my go-to solution for marking my tools and equipment. However, that will wear off over time. Enter this engraving kit with stencils! Now I can easily and permanently mark my tools and equipment with my name and (sometimes) phone number. The battery isn't sufficient to mark all of my tools in one sitting. I can engrave about 3 tools before I need to recharge. Even so, it works great and I don't mind having to spread my marking over a few days. I wish I'd had this tool many years ago, but I'm glad that I have it today. Good value for the money, and 5 stars from me!

This is a really nice engraving tool set. It comes with a ton of bits that all feel like they are good quality. I really like the included stencils too.This is somewhat expensive at $55.99 but if you consider everything you are getting and the price of other similar tools I think its worth it. I haven't ever seen another engraver kit that comes with stencils. I have a USB rechargeable cordless Dremel tool that is what I would compare this to. I don't think this is anywhere near being a replacement for something like a corded Dremel tool, it just doesn't have the power. I think it is much more oriented at engraving and maybe some light stone shaping, not really wood carving. I haven't tried it for carving any hard wood yet but I imagine it will struggle a bit with something like a Kutzall bit, which is probably to be expected as the cordless Dremel tool also struggles.Overall, this is a good quality rotary tool and I would definitely recommend it because of the good assortment of attachments you get in this kit.

This kit has everything you'd need to get started engraving, including a nice selection of bits and several stencils.The grip is cushioned, and does a good job of providing fine control while reducing felt vibrations. On soft plastics, the engraver is a beast, metal surfaces take a better bit and more time, but it's still very functional.My one complaint is the bit lock-up - I'm so used to ratcheting and keyless chucks that the grub screw and allen wrench need to secure the bit were a big disappointment. For one, it will introduce a small amount of imbalance, maybe not a big deal. The bigger concern is losing the screws (one spare is included) renders this useless.Overall, not a bad devices, but a keyless chuck would make it nearly perfect.

Wont engrave or erch steel and barely does brass using the carbide or diamond bitsThis is a neat little kit with a bunch of accessories included. It arrived totally dead so the forst 2 hrs I had to charge it. Pretty simple process but in my experience a battery that arrives dead and having been exposed to the cold outdoor weather as it was being ahipped tends not to sirvive that long. Time will tell I giess. It did take a charge and I was able to play with it for a bit. Using both the single carbide bit as well as a randomly selected diamond bit I tried to etch my initials into a couple 3/8" sockets. No go. Then I tried to put my street # on the face of my house key and had very slow success with that. Definitely not taking the place of my electric engraving tool like Id hoped. There are a bumch of plastic stemcils included for doing decorative work but thats not really my thing. The pen is very light weight and easy to manipulate as a writing device... meaning there was no noticiable gyroscopic forces to overcome. Its not overly heavy amd is easy to operate. Has either 3 or 5 different speeds selecting from the lcd screeen.
