I replaced the original doorbell button on a 50 year old house. Mounting screw spacing was not the same, requiring mounting modification on the brick wall. Metal housing is very sturdy, and should outlast the house. LED light is a bit too bright, but still cool to the touch, maybe it won't cook the plastic button like the old incandescent light did.

Needed a couple new doorbells for rental units to replace old, plastic ones. These have an illuminated plastic button that looks great at night but the surrounding piece is all metal which looks and feels great! It's a nice little upgrade that makes a good first impression.

I had the maintenance people install it for my apt. since the old one was faded, weathered and falling apart. was a easy install for them, I didn't want to mess with installing it and messing something up.
