This product works. I often thaw meat in the sink and have struggled with balancing items to keep the food under water. The claw does that as described and I found the meat does thaw faster because it remains fully submersed. I thought it was a little expensive for what it is. However, I do use it regularly so it was worth it. I’ve had success with both larger and smaller packets of meat with varying amounts of air in them.

we love it and works great. we have used for more then just meat. like for soaking baseball hatsi just wish the one side was adjustable to i can use it in a smaller dish if needed and not use so much water

I bought this thinking it would be an excellent way to keep sous vide bags submerged. It worked great, but when I tried to remove it from the sous vide bath, the suction cup thingie broke off. So beware about how you go about getting this thing to leggo of what it's adhered to.

I've water bathed my food for years and always hated the floating and needing to go and rotate. I've looked at thaw plates and reviews that found thay water bathing is still the best and most efficient way to thaw meats so then I saw this product listed in a top items to buy on Amazon and was like... GAME CHANGER! We have been quite pleased with this since the purchase and not needing to dunk and rotate our food!

This is the coolest thing ever! I can thaw my frozen meat out in a few hrs vs. having to remember to let it sit out all day. Or worse, putting it in the fridge over night. I would always forget to set my meat out, then I would have to scramble around and stack about 50 pots and pans on top of a lb of meat to keep it submerged in the water to thaw it. This little gadget is so handy and it actually works. The suction cup comes unstuck sometimes so you do have to kind of watch it. Its totally worth it though because you will be cooking dinner in no time even if you forgot to thaw your meat.
