We added a fountain to our back yard. Our house is about 40 years old, and I am not sure if our outside outlets are protected by a GFCI breaker on that circuit. I was thinking about replacing the outlet we planned to use for the extension cord connection to the fountain. I saw this and quickly bought it to add that protection to our fountain, and also to protect the connection to our smart gas BBQ grill. It works great! It's very solid and well built. The GFCI buttons are easy to use. I am also quite pleased with how I brought the extension cord under our deck and up through a board near the outside outlet.

Needed this to hook up waterline heat tape. Pricey but very nice 3-plug at end & is lighted. Thick safe 15 amp cord.

I paid a higher price for next day delivery - but they delayed and delayed for 2 days, and AMAZON wouldn't cancel my order, even though I got a message saying that I could, because they had so badly missed the next day delivery. I REALLY needed it, and it would take just as long to order another, as it would to wait for late delivery. THAT'S WHY THE LOW RATING. Had I wished to wait for 3 days, I could have paid HALF the price.I feel like that type of business is shady and rather smacks of scamming.Beyond the super-poor delivery and the higher price "scam" ----- the product works GREAT!I LOVE the short size - you can find the end of the cord in the dark (construction), and my small appliances that don't usually "like" extention cords, didn't seem to mind this one.So --- beware, that this company promises next day - charges extra - and delivers 2-3 days LATE - and Amazon won't let you cancel until AFTER LATE DELIVERY. Then you have to drive to return the item-driving around town to a drop-off shop). If you have had to buy another one while you are waiting for the first one, you are stuck with the price of 2. YOU the customer are the only one who will suffer, as they don't even give you back the extra that you paid for next day service.Still, it's a nice cord.
