Made well, works well. Had it a few years now, no issues. Be aware the original setting is a 10 degree advance, every time you use it you will have to clear the advance. Don't know why they did it that way, seems like a sure fire way to get somebody's timing set wrong somewhere along the line, but if you can remember to do that berfore each use it is a great, durable, easy to use gun.

Had to figure out the advance feature before I got this working properly. Mark your timing marks with a little white paint and dial in your motors factory recommend advance. On my engine it was 8 degrees BTDC. I set the gun for 8 degrees and aimed the very bright light (even in daylight) at the harmonic balancer until the 2 marks lined up. 8 degrees is automatically built in. Found out my timing was about 5 degrees off. Now running like a charm. Also added an MSD stick on degreed timing tape to make readings easier. (bought on Amazon too)

This timing light is all over the place. One minute it will read one timing setting and the next it is entirely off. I tried multiple lights on the same car and they all read consistent timing readings and this one was not even close( about 14 degrees off). Tried it one more time and finally it just gave out all together. Nothing comes up on the display. I bought this because of the good reviews and it is not all it is cracked up to be. I contacted the actual manufacturer about it and received no response. I finally called and they told me I would have to pay to have them fix it instead of just replacing their faulty timing light.

Meh. As others have reported, the strobe is of modest brightness; it washes out on sunny days. Quality concern: one digit of speed display was defective right out of the box, but it's the least significant digit, so I'm not bothered enough to hassle with returning it. Makes you wonder whether any functional inspection is done before these leave the factory. Otherwise, works as expected.

Works as good as all the other high dollar ones I have had in the past. Not as expensive, easy to see big readout, all functions switches perform easy & well. Strobe is bright enough. Works for me!

The light resets itself and doesn't allow me to set the timing on the car. It's useless to me.

Does a great job and it's very easy to use. It is set at 10 degrees when first turned on, but that's closer to where you'll be timing than zero.

Product not working, always reset when pick up is hook up to the spark plug wich makes any reading impossible. Also feels really cheap/plastic wise. I was counting on this light to fix my motor issue but will have to buy another brand wich I hope will work

Unit worked well first use. subsequent usage, it remembers its previous setting, witch can be handy, and you are told to check settings in the manual, but can really mess up your work if you assume that it turns on in zero state. It also appears that the pickup, picks up other leads in close proximity giving erratic and inaccurate results, this can be remedied by changing the position of the pickup, often inconvenient, and does not do much for trust of the tool
