First off, let's get the latest issue out of the way. I purchased this item at retail from Amazon and have not been compensated, reimbursed or credited in any way. Now on to the review. I purchased this item as a portable coffee maker for camping. With that use in mind, here are some of the points I liked about this coffee maker.1. It worked as advertised. Using this item to make French Press coffee was a snap. The double filter reliably screened out grounds, as long as you followed recommendations about how much water to use.(High water marks are stamped in the stainless steel interior and are easy to see and use).2. The stainless steel vacuum bottle portion of the coffee maker allowed the beverage to remain hot for multiple hours. I had hot coffee through the course of the day.3. The lid was easy to drink through.4. The build quality seems to be very good. I haven't had any issues with any of the plastic or rubber items not functioning as they are intended. There were a couple of items that I found a bit frustrating though. They were:1. Having to have a separate lid you had to find, keep handy and screw on if you wanted this item to seal and not leak if it was tipped over. Not a deal breaker, but an extra step and an extra piece to keep around if you wanted to throw this coffee maker into a bag and have leaks not happen.2. Due to the double seal, cleanup was a bit more involved that what you would see in a standard French Press pot.Overall, this item was a gem for what I wanted it for. Hot, flavorful French Press coffee to sip on while camping, and no cold coffee!

I make my own loose leaf herbal teas, this personal travel french press is perfect cause I'm always on the road as a truck driver. The insulated mug keeps it hot for a long time. The press seals/filters very good, no debris escapes. No leaks when cap is on. Easy to clean.I'm will get the 16oz version at some point 12oz seems not enough enjoyment for me.

I first had a cup of delicious coffee with this filtration while at a friends house last weekend. She has 7 different types of coffee making machines in her home ranging from $100-$3000. She is very versed and made me a cup with most of them. I was looking for the thickness of an espresso shot, but as a cup of coffee, not a shot. The body of the cup is really important to me. I'd rather not have coffee at all than to drink gross thin coffee. I'll admit, the overall experience of food and beverage holds a lot of weight with me.I can't have creamer, so I use coconut cream instead, and I can't have sugar, don't use Neem honey. What I can't stand about French pressed coffee is the sludge. Yuck. Besides, after the first couple sips, what was once the "body" I enjoy, settles at the bottom into the sludge. Gross. Not with this! You will enjoy a stable consistency throughout your entire cup. Love it!Why I bought this and recommend you do too: sometimes I just want one cup, and I only need one, if it's good and strong and delightful! This affords me the best of many worlds. I got a wonderful pricing point with the ability to pack it around and make a cup wherever I want! Finally I can have an amazing cup, any where I want! I can store grounds in the container and leave the house to meet a friend, and just add water when I get there! Think about it... Even a gas station has hot water you can use... It's a win at $35.Sure, I'd love to have the 32 ounce, but there's no need and it's not as mobile as this. The friend who introduced me to this, bought hers from an actual roasting plant. She works at Starbucks and we both agreed this was the best cup far beyond the verismo AND the Starbucks stainless steel fresh press. For $35, I got everything I wanted and don't mind having to make each cup separately. If I find that I need the bigger, I'd happily buy the 32 ounce and not blink twice. This is still something phenomenal to have in my kitchen.I didn't want something that took up a lot of space, this is compact and takes up no space, and clean up is simple!Unlike most coffee makers or presses, there is more oil expressed, so it's not a simple rinse, but that's ok, because you just had a cup of joe you can't even get anywhere else... Don't have to wait in any lines and saving myself a TON of money!!!I am a Starbucks gold member till 2024 due to the points I've accumulated in the past year on coffee. That's a crap ton of money they got from me and so this is a steal. There is no compromise here. I'd rather have a cup from this little gadget ANYDAY over any cup ANY Barista has ever served me.Just get it. You can thank me in YOUR review :)I did a video for it, but wasn't able to upload it :/ so I included pics. The packaging also is great for gift giving.

I picked one of these up at Gourmet Warehouse (a bricks and mortar store here in Vancouver) years ago. I used the coffee press function a few times... and it works great... but usually we make our coffee in a larger French press, so I just unscrewed and removed the "press" from the P1 and used it as my daily travel coffee mug for years until I lost it.I searched to find a replacement that had the same feel in my hand, smooth drinking surface, and 100% leakproof seal so that I could throw it into a bag and not worry whether it was upside down or rubbing against something and wiggling open. This thing is bombproof! So it works great as a coffee press, and really shines as a daily travel coffee mug. I picked up a P0, too, and while it is a bit larger I didn't like the way it felt in my hand the same way as the P1. Honestly, both are great, but I slightly prefer the curved shape of this one.I just wish that ESPRO, a Canadian company, would ship to CANADA... rather than forcing me to buy through Amazon. Heck... I could have driven down to their head office and paid cash. But that's e-commerce I guess. The product itself is highly recommended.
