I ordered this to use in an oil warmer outside on our front entry. I am surprised how strong this scent is, and how long the scent lasts.Our entryway is open - just steps leading up to the house with an eave overhang. The oil warmer sits on a table next to the door. When I put this oil in the warmer, we can smell it from 30-feet away on the driveway - it's that potent.I put about 1/8-inch of oil in the warmer, and it has lasted several weeks - it evaporates slowly as it warms.The Bal D'Afrique scent is a pleasant scent, but it is very strong. I personally would NOT use this scent INSIDE the house, as I think it would be too overpowering. But for using outside where it covers a larger area, it works well.The top notes of this scent are lemon and bergamot - yet I cannot detect those scents at all. To me and my family, this scent is more perfumy than a natural smell.I've only used less than 1/4 of this bottle for our outdoor warmer. When that oil is gone, I don't plan on using it again. It just has too much of a perfume smell than a subtle natural smell.I rate this diffuser oil 4-stars because of its strength and lasting power, but the scent is just not my favorite.

Nice beautiful smell in the house. I do not use fragrance sprays because I do not feel they’re good for you. So I’m all about the essential oils in my home.

This vanilla diffusing oil is legitimately yummy smelling. I absolutely adore it and cannot recommend it enough!

I've ordered four containers of this for my home diffusers. The first three were spot on - smelled JUST like the "name brand" version. The fourth container was AWFUL. It smelled like leather and mold. I just sent it back. Hopefully the next two I order will be like the first three. It should smell like the "name brand" version - so any review saying it doesn't is likely incorrect but I got a very bad batch. But overall, amazing.Edit February 2, 2025. I ordered two more of these to use in my diffusers and they were terrible. The formula has either changed or it's a bad batch. It only smells like smoke; nothing like the impression of Bal d' Afrique. All of the fruit/sweet notes are gone. Smells like moldy firewood. What gives?
