I've purchased several pairs of Amazon Essentials 'basic' Slim-Fit 7" Shorts with varying levels of satisfaction, mostly because there is minimal standardization across colors, suppliers, and just elapsed time. They're kind of like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. Some are too baggy, some are too tight in the waist, some of the colors fade after washing, etc... So I tried a Stretch Chino version of the 7" Slim Fit short and at least for this pair I'm very satisfied. The size is as advertised, they do not fade or change color in the wash, and we'll see how consistent they are when I buy my next pair. But I've got my fingers crossed.

Nice looking shorts, described as they actually are. They fit well just make sure you are using the proper waist size with this color. I bought a pair of tan shorts as well and they fit better if you ordered them a inch smaller. Good value and look!

They are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, they're high quality keeping their color and don't wear out even after months and months of wash cycles.

If you're a bit vertically challenged like me, you know what it's like to order shorts online, have them delivered, and then experience the crushing misery of having the shorts hang down past your knees, making you look like a middle-aged guy wearing capri pants. Fortunately for me, the 7 inch inseam is perfect. And despite being stocky, the slim fit is just about right. Good length, good cut, good fabric, good value = what's not to like? -- BW

Decent shorts, decent quality. Would be great if they weren’t sold as slim. I’d probably have to be 20kilos heavier and the same waist for these to be slim on me. Good shorts , large or normal leg holes. Not recommended if you’re looking for a slim fit.

Generally, 7in kacki shorts fit my rump too tight and I feel like I look ridiculous. I went 1 size larger...normally I'm a 38, but opted for the 40 due to past experiences with tight shirts. These 40s fit just right and hit just below my Mid thigh, just like I like em'. Seem well made...not too heavy, not too light. I'd buy more.

Him indoors loves these. Super comfy and last a long time. He has bought these before, wore excessively eventually wearing them out so these are a replacement. Loves the material, fit and feel but keeps emphasising the comfort. Highly recommend.
