About this item

  • 【Run 2 IP Cameras on 1 Cable】: Allows you to run 1 cable run to the switch for 2 cameras that are near each other. Set consists of a "sender" unit and a "receiver" unit. Plug Sender unit into 2 open ports on your POE switch. Run one cable to the location that has the cameras that are nearby each other. Connect 2 short cables to the Receiver unit and connect the other ends to your camera.
  • 【Reduces Cabling Costs】: Lets say you are installing 2 cameras on each side of a corner. Instead of running 2 cables back to the switch, you can now just run 1. Easy and Cost Effective.
  • 【Convenient for Adding Camera】: Ever installed a camera in a location, only to find out that you need another one right by it? Whats worse, the switch is on the other side of the building and it took you hours to run that one cable run. No worries! Just use this splitter set to make your installation much easier as all you need to do now is run 1 cable from the old camera to the new camera.
  • 【Outdoor Waterproof】: The Receiver Unit comes with weatherproof RJ45 connectors, allowing you to fully expose the Receiver unit to the weather elements.
  • 【Easy to Use】:Simple plug & play installation. Only works on standard POE network switches.

Splitter works in 10/100 speed it uses 2 pair on each camera. There is a splitter at switch and at camera that allows for 2 IPs to be pulled. Will not work for access points.

I replaced a combiner that got water in it with this one, and it works just fine. It was easy to install, and it's weatherproof. I think it's a good value for the money.

Bought 2 types of splitters to try. This one failed. I do not even have activity lights after plugged in. Using same wires, cameras and new Hikvision NVR, plugged in type with dual mode switch (which was twice as much) and worked instantly. Nice idea and might work with another name brand setup. I did notice on the RJ45 plugs, they are only using 4 wires and the other splitter type uses all 8. Maybe you have to wire up something special for this to work correctly. Not going to rewire my factory camera ends to find out.

I needed to change the power situation for a Sling studio cam link and a PTZ camera. This splitter allowed me to power both. I had already purchased a cat5 to mini usb adaptor but wasn't getting the power passed through is so I bought this splitter and it worked after playing around with it. I have a poe switch and connected the one side of the splitter to it. The other side was by the camera and camlink. I had to swap the connectors for it to pass data but it worked. Now I can power the cam link and the PTZ camera over cat5 with 1 cable. I used to use a rechargeable battery to run the cam link but that is no more. This things works great Not a lot of documentation but I was able to make it work

I am in the middle of attempting to add another camera and realized that I don't have the ability to run another cat6 cable from the network termination point. I did have a POE camera nearby and thought to myself that there HAS to be a way to split the cable and after some research, this happened. I'm very happy about it. I tested it out and no performance issue between the 2 cameras.the construction is kind of drab and boring, but who cares? it's going to sit in the network closet and it's not meant to be some statement piece so I can't be bothered to care about its looks. it works. That's all you need to know.

Installation is very easy. You can run 1 Ethernet cables to a location and split it to run to another location. No performance issues no power loss and quality is good with the water resistance cover for the connector.

They work ok. But expect to drop frames occasionally on your poe security camera. I suspect that it shares 4,5,7,8 which would be needed for 1gbps and repurposes them for power. If you have auto negotiate and it tries negatiating a gig vonnection i think thats where i drop frames. I havent looked deeper than that into it. Perhaps locking your camera to 10/100 link would resolve it?

Make sure to note the connector (plug/socket) on the existing wiring and the new cable or device you plan to use them with. The splitters are available in every combination of plug -> socket, so it is easy to get the right one. It's just as easy to overlook and end up with a solution that won't work.Works great with all of my client's PoE cameras and 802.11af/at PoE switch (Nortel/Avaya 4850GTS-PWR, among others). YMMV for non-standard 12/24/48V PoE injectors or switches. These things are -all- totally basic. There is no magic in one that is not in another, so don't pay for others asking $15, $20 each — they are ALL THE SAME. We purchased a couple of Amazon Warehouse items returned by another customer... doubtless because "it didn't work" for them.

Recommended this item to order one is it just piece of garbage? I didn’t work with the PEO switch and NVR so disappointed and frustrated. Had to wait for a long time. Pay for a lot of prize, but still didn’t work.10/000000

The splitter works as advertised but the waterproofing can be improved with a tapered seal so that small and large all types of cables can be water sealed effectively.
