This charger plugs into my Ford Lightning with no problem, and it charges when I use it on Tesla destination charger. It should be noted that it does not charge at high speeds, this is for the lower powered chargers that have the Tesla connection on the end. It will not work on Superchargers.The price is pretty low, and the adapter works as expected. It’s not the only adapter I travel with (I also have one that can be used on a supercharger), but it will definitely stay in my truck. I knocked a star off because it has a cheap feel, and doesn’t have the same high quality as my other adapter. Not the end of the world, because for this you could buy two of them for the price of some of the other options on th market.

I've already got a NACS-to-CCS adapter so I can use Superchargers on road trips (and it works great!), but I thought it might also be handy to have a J1772 adapter for level two destination chargers. There are a fair number of them at hotels and shopping areas, and I expect to see more now that NACS is becoming standard. Getting this adapter seemed like a good way to maximize flexibility on our next long-distance drive.Our next big trip isn't for a while, but that gave me time to test this at some local destination chargers. The first one I tried didn't work, but I suspect that was an issue with the charger and not this adapter. It was a newer pay-by-kWh model, and no matter what process I followed, I couldn't get the Tesla app to activate the station. My second test at a more typical destination charger went exactly as I expected: I attached the adapter to the NACS plug, waited a few moments, then connected the cord to the car. It fired right up. It looked like my car was drawing about 50 amps, which is close to the 60 amps this adapter is rated for. I was only connected for about 10-15 minutes, but there was no indication that the adapter was even getting warm. No errors, no problems - it just worked.I'm sure I'll have the chance to try again, but it's possible that this adapter (and perhaps all of them?) simply won't work with the newer paid stations. That would be a bit of a bummer if true, but at least I know I've got access to the more typical Tesla destination chargers. The more charging options I've got, the better!

The Tesla to J Series EV charger adapter has okay quality, but I’ve had some issues with it not working consistently. Sometimes it just won’t connect or charge properly, which is frustrating.For the price, I expected it to be more reliable. While it does work when it does, I can’t rely on it for every charge, and that’s a big drawback. Wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something dependable.
