I was not expecting these latches to be quite as sturdy feeling as they are. These latches are the same as the ones you'll find all over the place on trucks and buses. Only question is how the keyhole will hold up to weather. With that in mind, it's probably best to put these somewhere they're not going to be consistently exposed to weather.

These locks are well made and I'll be able to make them work with some small fixes. The lever arm isn't quite long enough unless I mount the lock right at the edge of the door. This lock will work for door panels up to about .2" thick.
