These are too cool! For years I've wanted a sizzle cymbal, but didn't want to drill holes in any of my cymbals, nor could I justify purchasing a dedicated sizzle cymbal. These attachments are super affordable and allow you to make any cymbal in your collection sizzle like your favorite jazz recordings. Don't want sizzle on the next tune you play? These are easily removed too. Excellent purchase for a drummer or gift for the drummer in your life.

These sound fine and are comparable to other similar chain sizzlers that I use. There was only one small issue when trying to use them as-is.Having the quick option to clip or unclip the sizzler is great, but it's not something I'd put too much weight on. Both of the chains work well. After shortening them a little, they sustained nicely. These kind of sizzlers usually feel a little heavy and seem to dampen too much. However, these felt just a tiny bit lighter. The main problem that I ran into when trying to use it on various kits is that it doesn't fit over some cymbal sleeves. Not all kits that I'm on have trimmed or perfect sleeves for the cymbals. I also don't have time or permission to make any modifications. I was able to get it to fit after a quick visit to my workbench. I'm just thinking that it should already be wide enough for different scenarios.Overall, I'm still happy with it since it's quick to use or clip one on and off. The price is okay since it essentially comes with two sizzlers, but you can only use one at a time. Just keep in mind that with some cymbal sleeves, it will not fit right out of the box.

I’m impressed with the design of these cymbal sizzlers. Installation is straightforward, you just tighten the felt attachment under the wingnut of your cymbal stand. The sizzler chains then snap on easily. To remove them, you simply pull the chain until it pops loose. It is very easy to switch between chains or use no chain at all! No modifications necessary. I find the sound of both chains pleasing and useful. Great product!

This two pack of cymbal sizzlers is a fantastic addition to any drummer's toolkit! They’re super convenient and easy to install...no need to modify your cymbals, and they add such dynamic texture to your sound. They’re also just as easy to remove when you don’t need them. These work especially well for jazz music, though they weren’t quite as useful for my son, who plays really heavy metal. A great product that adds extra panache to your playing.

I've used both rivets and standard dog-tag chain wrapped around the wingnut. This gives something a bit different, and a bit more versatile.First, the attachment point. You only get one, and it goes under the wingnut, so it's going to be one-cymbal-only. The hole in the felt was correct for all my cymbal stands but too small for any of the plastic washer sleeves. I had to switch the included felt out with one of my own.The method of swapping chains is good. The chains themselves are both much larger than any I've previously used, even the "light" one. They both rattle minimally and dampen lighter cymbals considerably. I'm not a heavy player and these weren't doing it for me.It's a different color, with some chains that are less commonly available, and a pretty functional on/off system (you can also just wrap these chains around the wingnut). But for my money I'd prefer first actual rivets, and second lighter-weight chain that's available by the foot at my hardware store. Three stars.

My young adult son has a full music room in our basement including a large, professional drum set. He was awarded best percussionist every year through middle and high school. He's trained in many different styles of music. When I saw this package of sizzlers I thought it would make the perfect stocking stuffer. You get two different sizzlers and the mounting hardware. It took him about a minute to attach this to his cymbal so assembly is a piece of cake. The quality is excellent. I sat at listened to him play songs I've heard him play before and this adds some awesome effects. The sound quality is excellent if an untrained musician like myself can notice a difference. These high quality sizzlers are an easy and inexpensive way to add more effects to the sound you're trying to create. Removing the sizzlers are just as easy as putting them on. Five stars!

Firstly, I have been playing bass and guitar for a long time, (like since the late 80s). Last year I started to learn drums. The only real experience I had with drums prior to that was watching a bandmate and synching the bass groove to his beat. That said, I really like the "sizzle sound" these add to the cymbals. They seem to fill out the ringing of the ride when I play with a lighter hit on the eight notes. There is a difference between the large and small chain links (balls). It is a slight pitch change of the "sizzle".It is nice that the two chains are included, but I wish that it also included two of the mounting caps.It would be nice to try both chains on the ride at the same time, or have them on two different cymbals.-or they could include a case for the unused chain so it wouldn't rattle around in the stick bag.(I know it is going to latch onto something like the brushes and fall to the floor never to be seen again eventually.)I ended up putting it in the little "mint tin" with a drum key and extra felt washer.Hey Evans... if you included a little case with a recess for a chain and a circular recess for a felt washer and second mounting cap that would "level up" the product.Other than possibly loosing a chain and only being able to use one at a time, this little sizzler works great. It is easy to attach and remove from the cap and it adds a nice sizzle to the cymbal.
