I have been playing 16 in. kick bass drums for years and only with in the last several years has more options started to show up-this head is a nice choice.

I found out that you know the clear Remos pinstripes are just creamier for me. If you’re doing jazz you may like this it’s a bit more mid range so I in a different application I guess it’s better but for me, I like the clear Remos pinstripes.

I have a cheap pearl roadshow with an 18†bass drum. I originally just put a Calftone on the batter and left the factory pearl ported reso on. It was okay at the least. I ordered the emad Calftone and swapped the heads. Now two Calftone tones, one emad, reso without a port. Low end and loud in comparison, tune to G1 as before. Don’t hesitate, upgrade.

it's a muted drum head that's supposed to add subtle tone. Makes no sense and adds zero punchiness to my floor tom. Useless except for maybe jazz, but again the lack of tone
