EASY TO INSTALL
- STEP1: Put the end of the wood knife bow into the mounting bracket of the base and align the screw holes. Then put the cap nut into the nut hole, screw the long bolt through the hole into the nut at the other end, and tighten the bolt with the wrench supplied.
- STEP2:Turn the wire adjustment knob to adjust the wire to a proper state, but not too tight to avoid breaking the wire.
- STEP3: Refer to the scale on the scale table to adjust the size adjuster to the required size and tighten the screws.
- Kindly Note: this soap cutter is designed for cutting pre-cured soap, not fully cured hardened soap.
- Kindly Note: the bolt should not be tightened too tightly or too loosely, so that the knife bow can cut flexibly. Please align the bow so that wire can align with the notch on the base.
- Kindly Note: This step requires tools such as pliers, please wear gloves to avoid injury.

When we first got into making our own soaps we tried cheaping out with soap cutters, but that didn't end well at all. It's not as if you can just grab your old cheese slicer for the job. It's important to be able to make consistent, straight cuts every time and the way that this cutter is configured makes it much better for the job. It is adjustable for different lengths and thicknesses and comes with extra cutting wires, too. It was easy to get set up and has been working great since day one. We're very happy with it and can definitely recommend it.

This soap cutter works fabulous. I made the mistake of reading some of the negative reviews and I can't possibly imagine how some of the problems they claimed actually occurred. Won't cut all the way through? Tighten the wire dummy. Don't tighten it until is snaps, just make it taut. It has a very nice guitar-like tuner knob for tightening. Wire broke while cutting? How long did you wait to cut your loaf? Don't cut when your loaf is a week old or try to cut super hard loaves. I would say you want your loaf the consistency of a semi-firm cheese. Don't cut too fast or put a huge amount of downward force on the wire or it will snap. Be gentle.The operation of this cutter is very straight forward and comes basically already assembled. It has extra wires since you will eventually break one - although with careful use and care between uses I would think the wire would last a very long time. The ruler works pretty well, although I wish the English units were the ones right next to the item being cut. It also needs a washer under the wing nut that locks down the adjustment block. Over time, the wing nut alone will damage the wood so I scrounged a washer right away, makes a big difference.Highly recommended, treat it nicely and it will do a great job for you.

This product was great for cutting loaves of soap. My soap loaves were cut to precision using this cutter. 5 out of 5 starsâï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

Very reasonably priced. Easy to assemble. Seems to cut nicely. I only did one small loaf so far. I gave it 4 stars because it seems to be missing some washers and the screw to adjust ruler is very loose where something would break soon if we did not apoxy it in place and add a washer.The design is clever with guitar tuner as tightened. I'd recommend but you'll need to add your own 3 washers to keep things in place.

I started making my own soaps about two months ago. Been cutting my soaps with a knife. Saw one of my favorite YouTubers, Ely using this cutter and she loved it. I had to break down and buy it. Wow, it makes great cuts with no effort, easy to use and well made.
