Build quality is for gentle work, finish work. Not framing. This is not a framing saw. No ground plug and small cord gauge. Miter is true, minimal blade wandering. Laser is on target. Motion is fairly smooth but not as nice as a high end saw. For the handyman home builder, this is a good finish saw. Will you break it? if you are a rough carpenter yes. For what it was designed for, it is a good value and useful. Pulls about 760 watts. Ample cord size for draw.

I purchased this for my husband to do some home improvement projects. It was easy to assemble and good quality. The laser beam makes cutting straight lines so easy. And love that the blade tilts and makes multiple degree cuts. Lightweight but sturdy. It does still leave some dust behind but overall great product.

It is too small for me. I have a skill saw that size so I was needing 10 inches or better. But it was easy to put together but I never used it.

Love this saw. I have been desperately looking for a quality compact mitre saw to easily transport to my various stops. This fits the bill. It easily cuts through tissue and bone and I can even see myself using it for diy projects. The only negative is the collection bag. It does not do a very good job and will require a lot of clean up post deployment. I would suggest putting up plastic sheeting around the cut zone. Imagine this would also hold true when cutting lumber.

The flat piece and bolt that holds on the blade I did have on mine. It looked like the black flat piece was actually part of it and it was missing that part but it was on there so I'm giving them a five star review because this very good for the price I paid with the table I bought the two for one for like $100 discount on a flash sale day and it's really sturdy a lot more than I thought it would be

This saw comes disassembled in 3 major parts for more compact packaging. They are the base, power head, and slider tubes. The connection between the power head and slider tubes is extremely questionable.Inside the hollow slider tubes are plastic cartridges with spring loaded metal pins. These pins are supposed to go through holes in the sliders and into holes in the power head locking them together. There's an actuator tip on the cartridge that has to be in the out position to contact the inside of the power head receiver and deploy the pins. This all has to be in precise alignment to work. On mine one of the holes in the slider tubes appears to not be offset from the end correctly and the pin couldn't deploy. After much messing around, I ended up pulling the cartridges out and forcing them to deploy just before reaching the holes. Shoving the power head on with the pins pre-deployed allowed them to lock into the holes. There are a few sentences in the manual addressing the fact that these pins need to be locked in place. I don't think the manual places enough emphasis on how important these pins are. If the power head came off while the saw was in use it would be potentially catastrophic. It seems like there should be a more positive and verifiable way to lock the head and sliders together.Outside of that the saw is adequate for the price I guess. It works and it's obvious a lot of thought went into it, possibly too much in the case of the over engineered spring pin cartridges. There's a lot of flex in the head. The fence and bed parts don't seem to align as precisely as one might hope. You get what you pay for as usual.

I am delighted! When I when I saw the saw in the Box I didn't think it would be easy to put together. But the instructions are so well ergonomically designed and easy to follow with all the parts easy to identify it was absolutely the most straightforward assembly I've ever experienced in a complex tool. My hats off to the engineer and ergonomic design team. And after having assembled it it was apparent that is quality was robust well thought out and durable. These guys got it figured out at the right price!

Great little saw, I did all my cutting for a project on this saw, a few things I liked is the saw is small and easy to handle, things I didn't like is the fact that the positive stops are not very accurate, once it clicks in place, you have to sometimes wiggle it to get it in the right spot, not a big deal if you are doing 1 or 2 cuts, but if you switch between 90 and 45 all the time, it can be annoying to do a cut several times...

It's not the most accurate. Cut is about an eighth of an inch off from the laser. I'm fine with it, I'm just using it for small jobs. I like how easy it went together.
