Bought this after a crash and injury to my ribs and liver. This covers your chest and back really well. The shoulder cups are OK if you wear this under a jersey. Otherwise, they will be flapping around. You can pull them off easily as they are attached with velcro. The side pads add a bit of protection to the flank, but aren't going to save you from a really bad hit. Weight isn't bad and it does an OK job of staying cool.This large/x-large wasn't all that big. I'm 5'7" and 170 lbs and this fits perfectly.Overall happy with this purchase.

I have worn this twice offroading very light - ride nasty rocky trails and hills on a xr650 last ride got thrown 4 times and no upper body injury. Would like to have more rib protection

The youth size is very short, not covering all of the chest. Wouldn’t recommend for anyone larger than like 50 pounds.

Received with a strange smell to it and with elastic that sounded old when stretching it. There are also sharp areas on the shoulders which I had to tape as it was irritating me. Hopefully these issues go away the more it us used but so far I am not too impressed.

product sizing is much smaller than advertised. Very thin. Returned this product and purchased from a local retailer.
