I did not want to be disappointed so I did not use this right away. When I used it I was pleasantly surprised that it works just fine. It works like using a scrub brush without having to get on your knees.

Purchased for my 89 year old mother months ago. I used it today on high traffic area of carpet and it worked wonderfully. Mom doesn't have the strength needed to use properly but I was able to clean carpet within 15 minutes. Carpet stayed damp for 3 hours, looks good.

For the price , this is a good option. Very hard work machine pushing over carpet, but regard it as a workout. Amused by many comments re short handle. Large instructions on box illustrate release switch for telescopic handle which makes product easy to use for tall people as well as small, like me. I would recommend slightly less ratio shampoo to water being much more effective. As the carpet is left barely damp, there is no long drying out process. Overall, as a gadget for keeping on top of ongoing muddy puppy paw marks etc, very satisfied.

Unless you only 4ft tall this is not for you handle way to short and I'm 5ft 3..dies not work or glide on ned short pile rugs water of time effort and money
