Was a simple to install on my wife’s 99 2.5RS. Also, used the Exedy slave cylinder, and they both have worked well since they’re new. My only complaint is the Exedy reservoir cap doesn’t fit very well. So, I took off the provided one and used the stock cap. It’s such a better fit.I’ve used many Exedy clutch components over the years, they’ve always been reliable.Quick note: I made sure to blow out the hard lines and replaced the rubber hose, to prevent contamination of new parts.

Exact fit on 01 Forester. Replace the ENTIRE clutch system and this master cylinder performs flawlessly.
