In installed this unit, a stainless steel braided line, and changed the fluid all at the same time. The combination solved by clutch problem. I can't say for certain whether just the new fluid and new line (the old one appeared to be leaking a bit) would have solved the problem without installing the new slave cylinder, but the combo works great. This unit seems to be comparable quality to the OEM unit I removed, and was of course much less expensive than buying from a dealer.

Was a simple to install on my wife’s 99 2.5RS. Also, used the Exedy Master cylinder, and they both have worked well so far, as they’re new.I’ve used many Exedy clutch components over the years, they’ve always been reliable.Quick note: I made sure to blow out the hard lines and replaced the rubber hose, to prevent contamination of new parts.

Direct bolt in for a 2001 Forester S. I was pretty sure that my old one was failing, so I replaced the whole system. This slave cylinder works as it should and the quality seems to be there even at the lower price. I’d buy again.

Have yet to install. Item arrived looking different than the stock photo used, I'm hoping it is the correct replacement part.. I will update review after installation.
