Expander drive:
6 Large Steel Collet 2-2 1/2"

Component matching:
First step: Choose the proper collet.
Second step: clamp the pipe.
Third step: and then expand the pipe.
Use a 1/2" or 3/4" impact wrench to save even more effort.
Keep in mind:
The 6 Large Steel Collet can used alone or with the 1 & 3 collets.
The 7 Small Steel Collet can used alone or with the 2 & 5 collets.
The 4 collet must be used with the 2 collet.

I was able to use this to expand the end of a pipe just how it was designed, if you really want to be able to use it successfully would suggest having a decent impact to use with it. The socket that you will need put on the end of the screw is a 27 mm socket. If you need to expand more than about 2 to 2 1/2 in of pipe then you'll probably need to find something else to use because this is limited to the length of the insert that goes on the screw. You will need to keep moving the insert in and out of the pipe at different positions because it's will expand first at the furthest point from the head of the screw and make that section larger first. While I was able to successfully use it on a fairly thick stainless steel pipe I think it's probably designed more to be used on thinner cheaper exhaust pipe.

Seemed to be of good quality until I went to use it and the bolt that tightens the expander crossthreaded to the point where I can't even get the thing apart. Luckily got it out of the exhaust but it wasn't easy. Safe yourself the trouble buy a different set. Trying to return if I can.

Works great. Good quality for the price. First use was on my F250 Super Duty exhaust. I used it with a Dewalt 20v 1/2 drive impact and it made short work of my project.

Works 100% better than the cheap ones, bite the bullet and go with this, even if only have to expand one pipe. The frustration of a stripped out stud, and not enough expansion(generally at a time when you need things to work). Makes it worth the extra $$.

Well one more tool that will be junked after I die. I'm sure none of these schools are teaching the kids how to do any repairs on anything let alone how to use a tool like this. For kids these days It take an extraordinary perspective to be able to get your hands dirty let alone put there cellphone down for 15 seconds So I'm sure this will no longer be used by anyone else but me. It works find if you know what your doing and not need to use YouTube videos to figure out life and God knows what else let along a exhaust tube expanders. For the future generations you put in the pipe and turn it with a wrench, ( you may need You Tube to look up what a wrench is. ) and turn it that it.
