I think it would have been a really good buffer, but the wheel was out of round, wobbled like tire on bent rim,,

This is a step down from the aggressiveness of actually using a grinder to deburr. What I mean is, it's gentler on the metal (or whatever hard material that you're working with), but is abrasive enough to actually be effective at deburring. It's similar to an abrasive eraser if you're familiar with those. It does a great job with removing the burrs without actually removing metal, like you might with a grinding wheel or some sort of sandpaper. I think it would also do a good job removing stickers, labels, etc. from metal with doing minimal damage to the underlying material. I'd definitely get it again, and will leave it on my bench grinder, that's how much I like it. I'd also get an 8" size as well if they offered it.

First this SuperGrindz EXL Deburring Wheel is a good value. It is priced about $10 less than what appears to be an identical competitor.As for installation, it was simple to replace one of the wheels on my Bauer bench grinder with this Silicone Carbide wheel. At first glance, it looks like all the other stone grinding wheels, but upon closer inspection, I can see that this is a non woven material that appears to be infused with the sanding agent. Once installed, the wheel spins smoothly with no wobble, and I had to keep myself from putting too much pressure when polishing my glass tile cuts. This wheel definitely does the work and only light pressure to keep my tile in contact with the wheel’s surface is required.The wheel is 1†wide and as a 6†wheel, that’s a lot of real estate to have available to polish a surface. Plus, this wheel doesn’t get clogged up with debris, and unlike using a hand sander, I’m not changing disks repeatedly to finish my project. I had polished some of my tiles using diamond polishing paste (6 different grits) and a Dremel with a cloth wheel. The results I got from this wheel alone are nearly as good, and for the savings of effort, I’m calling it good enough for me!Recommending this wheel - good price, easy installation, solid performance.
