Anything I plant in this stratum Thrives!! I’ve done a couple moss terrariums with different substrates (spaghnum, clay, and stratum) trying to decide which one I liked most, and the answer is sub stratum! Everything greens up immediately, and it just becomes a healthier looking plant. Quick growth, I had a couple newly rooted cuttings that got knocked out of their planter and were very stressed and sad. I popped them in a cup with this stratum and a day later you’d never even know something happened to them! I was really worried about doing the moss bc I didn't know what to expect, moss can’t tolerate fertilizers and I know very little about ‘proper’ substrate for it. But it’s so so happy, could be due to the container as all 3 are potted a little different but I think the micronutrients or beneficial bacteria are doing their jobs, making my job much easier!! When I'm done with these other few terrariums and small guys I’m gonna start bottom and top dressing all my plants with sub stratum, or using only this sub stratum for smaller pots. It’s a very good price, compared to the name brand that’s twice as much for the same amount. There’s also a listing for 4.4lbs for $2 more than this 8.8lb bag. I just came back to buy 3 more bags, not too much more expensive than.soil nowadays, and it’s far superior in almost every way.

My plants love this stuff! Roots out the wazoo!! I’ve been using only stratum by itself but will mix with indoor potting soil and perlite to make my own mix to cut down on expenses. But this stuff is great!!!

This stuff is great for hydroponic plants! It really helps my plants start growing again because of the extra nutrition that is in this. I cut it with perlite and my plants are growing like crazy! Definitely recommend

I was using some other clay rocks for two of my bioactive terrariums and decided to give this one a try in a smaller tank, and I definitely prefer this! There's no Jagged edges for me to have to worry about any reptiles injuring themselves on in case they dig past the soil layer. Also it significantly reduces the smell inside the tank. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the price. it's a bit higher priced compared to other materials, and the bag is smaller also compared to others but overall next time I need to redo any of my bigger tanks I'd rather spend a bit more and use only this product.

The shipping was fast, and the package was undamaged..I like using this stuff as the bottom layer to my bioactive set up. The activated charcoal in the substratum helps plant growth.

I’ve used this product several times in bioactive vivariums for my reptiles but this was my first time buying from Amazon.It arrives bang on time, and was amazing quality - the same as if bought direct from the supplier. I used this also in my house plants in a potting mix for them too and it seems to keep my houseplants thriving as well!But pricey but definitely worth it I think

Now has grown white furry mould and isn't doing what on says on the packet. Have to keep mixing it around. Now worried it'll cause respiratory problems for my royal.
