This is great for putting a spare key to your house outside. It's made of metal, attaches with four screws and is easy to change the code. It's great if you have an Airbnb, maintenance people or others who come by your house while away. It's also excellent if you forget your keys. But it is not discrete. Although you may be able to install it somewhere away from view, it is easy for the whole world to see. But it's perfect for the uses I mentioned and the quality is great. It has even held up in the tropic heat and rain of El Salvador for two years without any rusting.

I have needed a safe way to leave my remote control for my garage door for family, 911 and friends. Even though this is extra large, my small remote barely fit. I drew an outline inside for how to reposition the remote after use. I am very satisfied with the look of it and the sturdiness of the construction.

We are renting out a house as a short-term rental, and wanted a simple solution to keep keys available. Easy to set up and use, plenty of room inside in case I need to leave any extra keys (as for the bike locks and garage) and so far seems waterproof. WInter will really tell but it is positioned where it gets a bit of water from the sprnklers and not a hint of an issue so far.Seems solid and well made; heavy duty enough to deter someone trying to break into it. This really fits the bill nicely for us.

I tried to drill an extra hole and it was a little too tough for regular bit. I had to add stick on hooks to the inside cuz the keys just lay in there, but I was able to put quite a few keys in it.

Requires a drill. I installed myself in minutes. It is installed inside approx a month ago. So I can't speak for longevity but it's sturdy and easy to operate. I set my own code easily and will be able to easily change it if needed.Update: almost a year later, this is functioning perfect. No sign of wear. This is installed in the garage, out of the rain, etc. Functioned well in freezing cold temperatures.
