Unfortunately, I didn't buy the right size. Overall sturdy product. Arrived quick and will order different size from this company.

I have a clock that has deep set winding posts. This works perfectly.

I have an old 1917 Seth Thomas mantle clock that has been in our family for many years. It's been stored away and apparently the key or keys were lost at some point. Although it has 3 key holes on the front - two on each side, and a small hand adjustment keyhole in the center, and I was told I probably need to insert two keys at once on each side and wind them toward the center at the same time to ensure that everything is in alignment, I thought I would first try to find the right key to fit before I ordered a second one. I didn't realize there are so many different sizes. I just thought this type of clock would have a standard key, and this was labeled "universal." But I guess I was wrong as I don't know much about clocks. So the key I received has a squared off hole opening that is too small for the much larger posts in my clock's holes. But that doesn't mean it's not a great key. It seems to be very sturdy and of nice quality. Just get the right size and don't make the same mistake I did.

This brass clock winding key is beautifully crafted and works perfectly with my vintage clocks. It’s sturdy and fits like a glove. A small but essential tool for any clock enthusiast.
