I have slept on this topper for 2 months, and I like it a lot. I spent a lot of time researching toppers after my bad experience with the first one.My Conclusion: This is a great topper as compared to memory foam which tends to become softer with use and body heat. This topper has an option to wash and refresh while memory foam degrades with time. If your mattress feels too firm, I recommend you try this D & G 2" Thick Mattress Topper.It is comfortable, offering a great pillow-top:I have an innerspring mattress which is a little too firm, and this topper does feel a lot like a feather bed. It sleeps much cooler than the memory foam with cooling gel I tried first. I believe this less high-tech topper will continue to deliver the same performance for many years because I have a comforter with the same type of filling and it continues to have the same volume after 10 years being sat on and used as a cover.It stays in place:I was tired when I put the topper on. I put it right on top of a fluffy mattress pad that hadn't done the trick (it didn't offer a softer top) with the intent of pulling off the old mattress pad when I washed the sheets. At that point, with a thick mattress, the straps to hold this topper in place would have stretched too far so I didn't use them. Fortunately, the topper didn't move at all, and, I left the set-up as is. It is great to have a topper that doesn't move at all.Maintains its softness:This topper rebounds well. That it is washable is another plus, but it doesn't seem to compact and it also doesn't allow me to sink in so far I end up hot and unable to roll or reposition.Why it is better than memory foam (with cooling gel):I had a memory foam topper for 18 months and it had become less comfortable. By 12 months, I should have sought a new solution. That memory foam was the best that Costco sold at the time, and had great ratings. After the first 6 months, I began to notice that I was sinking into the memory foam halfway through the night; over time my joints began to ache, I lost sleep, and I came to believe I slept very hot (even in the winter in MN, with a thermostat set to 60). Prior to that memory foam, and now, I sleep on this D&G Topper, being hot is not an issue. I may need an extra blanket now but that isn't a problem.I also tried a high volume mattress pad. I didn't find it to offer any additional comfort.

I bought a queen mattress a few weeks ago, way too hard for my back. I’d wake up with quite stiff muscles from my neck down to my lower back. Rejuvenated our mattress in such a great way. It really does feel like a cloud. It's thick and heavy. But I saw a gentleman comment about his having bugs so naturally I washed it immediately upon opening (I always do) didn't see any bugs but rather safe than sorry. Barley fit into our front load washer which is fine. Upon the cycle ending it was definitely still very wet, it was too heavy for the washer to fully spin the access water out. I ended up tossing it into the dryer on low and just pulling it out and un twisting it every 30 min. It did take about 5 or 6 hours to fully dry. And now it has brown stain leak spots that seem to have come from within itself. So it looks kinda gross in a few spots now. But let me tell you, we got the best night of sleep on this thing. It's extremely comfortable, very soft, surprisingly thick, and it doesn't seem to hold heat too bad if you're a hot sleeper. Extremely pleased with my purchase other than the weird dirty brown stains it gave itself.

We had gotten a mattress for free but it was a bit too firm for my husband and my liking. Adding this on was just what it needed. It’s still a firm mattress, don’t expect this to work miracles, but the topper is nice and thick and helps you relax into the bed more. We’ve both slept so much better with it on since we got it!It came nicely packaged. I fluffed it up for a few minutes in the dryer (although it was so thick it barely fit!) and it’s on the mattress nice and snug. We haven’t had any issues with it moving or shifting under the sheets.I can’t speak to its longevity since we just got it but I’m very happy with it right now!The only potential “problem†that’s not much of a problem but I feel worth mentioning, is that depending on how thick your mattress is normal fitted sheets may not fit once you add this. We have a set of extra deep pocket sheets and they fit with room to spare but our normal sets barely make it over. In reality a good problem because that means it is nice and fluffy but just be aware you may have that issue. I'll just be making sure to buy the deep pocket sheets for our next set.

I once bought a topper that was foam and I would literally sink in and get stuck. This topper is sleeping on a down cloudy dream. I bought a cheaper bed and would wake up literally stiff and roll around so uncomfortable. Last night I sleptIn it and it was the best sleep I have had in this bed ( 4 months). I’m not even exaggerating when I say this $90 topper is worth every penny. I finally will enjoy my bed again and my body isn’t stiff my back doesn’t hurt and I didn’t wake up multiple times !!

It is not as puffy as described and has not really releaved any hip pain. Also found a small hole in top mattress cover which company dealt with promptly and satisfactorily.
