I purchased these to hang my oven mitts on, next to my stove. My, they are very magnetic and my initial concern that they wouldn't be able to hold much weight was proven incorrect. Very sturdy and functional.

I love to complain, it's a nice way to deal with my many anxieties though its really not often fair. Given that personal flaw, I must admit I too enjoy the simple little things that just plain work. You know when everything just comes together and you look at what you bought and how it works and go "wow, this is pretty neat".OK, we're talking about some simple magnetic hooks here. Certainly not rocket surgery but damn it, this little deal is perfect.I have a metal file cabinet beside me and tried all sorts of suction cup do-dads in an effort to simply hang up my car keys at the end of the day. None of them worked.I saw these, and since I wanted something similar for the grill (no keys but close) I bought 3 pair.They're perfect. Great price, and the combined shipping was perfectly fair, not to mention quick. I think the 8lb weight limit is 'bout right but I wouldn't push it. The angle of the hook is just right; it firmly holds onto the key ring, but doesn't require any acrobatic maneuvers to remove same..Great deal, quick service, fair shipping... all around a great deal for a neat little gizmo... I like it, and that's tough for me to do.Now you buy some..

I'm using these to hold up a single silicone oven mitt each and they're okay but I wouldn't call it extra strong by any means. When putting the over mitt on the hook it always slides a bit before settling with the weight.The small neodymium magnet used in my QMx Star Trek badge is a LOT stronger than the large round standard magnets used on these.They work but not for what I had intended which was hanging my more commonly used large utensils, so I'm satisfied still even if not ideal.

Magnet is strong. Just a bit apprehensive about accidentally hit your head on it and cause profusely bleeding by the hook. So i placed on the side of fridge.
