This fitting or a 90 degree elbow just like it is necessary to connect a drain hose between the oil pan and you recycle jug. This makes changing the oil very easy and clean. Going to buy a similar set up for my inboard boat. I'll be able to run the drain hose out the drain plug at the bottom on the transom and into my recycle jug. That will be so much easier!

Once you install this gadget you’ll never have a messy oil changing job again. I’m switching out all my plugs on my machinery over to this system. And a hose to this extension, and you can drain your oil from and to any location.

Use this with the EZ-104 to quickly and cleanly drain a 2014 Ram 3500 CTD. Not a drop spilled. Use a 3.5 gallon bucket from Home Depot and a Gamma Seal lead. Put a short length of plastic tubing on this, attach to the EZ-104, slide the bucket under, and open the EZ-104. When it's drained, close the EZ-104, pull the bucket out and put the lid on. Remove this from the EZ-104 and you are done draining.

This is necessary as the height of my Rav4 Hybrid causes the oil to splash in the catchment pan. I attach a 10 inch hose to this with a clamp and then the dirty oil flows easily into the 9L plastic catchment pan. The shut off lever has a step which makes it impossible to accidentally open. My Rav has a 4 bolt cover which protects all the components between oil changes. PS the oil for the new Rav and Prius Prime is 0W16 Synthetic. Ken
