My kiddo is almost 5, and while she needs help to measure the string and tie knots, she picked up the cross stitching pattern quickly and sews here rows mostly independently. My 3 year old wants to do it too, and we let her, but she has no patience for cross stictching and does her own thing, but still has fun. It only comes with 4 plastic loops for hanging projects; I wish it had 10 so that there is one for each item. If you want to use this for a party you will have to buy more needles as well, as it only comes with 4. Another reviewer stated there wasn’t enough sting to finish projects, however my kit seems to have enough.

In my house we're always on the lookout for great screen-free activities. These cross-stitch type felt activities seem to always hit the mark. The quality of the materials are great and I like that you can either get several uses out of it or share with a group. Though there are only singles of each shape, so there might be some arguing over who gets the favorites (like the unicorn.) This also makes a great and safer introduction into sewing.

Got this for my Great Granddaughter for when she stays over. She will need help navigating the directions as she is only 4.5 years old but I'm sure Gramma will be a lot of help. This looks like a fun project to develop eye hand coordination with a beautiful hand crafted reward at the end. She will end up with many examples of her craft when done. But once she understands it we will let her go on her own selecting colors and designing her own patterns.

This is a really cute way to teach a young kid cross stitch. My son likes watching me cross stitch and he is having some fine motor issues so I thought this would be perfect for him and I was right! I actually think this could work for younger kids than 6 even though it's advertised as 6 years and up. Some of the instructions are a bit mismatched from the holes like in the case of the bear and they're also mismatched from the pictures on the stickers. That's ok with me for the price but it might not be for you. I like how they include stitch covering stickers and a few closures to make keychains as well. All in all I'm happy with this kit

This kit is so cute and colorful. The size of the felt animals is good for smaller hands to hold. The instruction manual is easy to follow for kids to learn. A very good way to spend an afternoon making cute crafts that kids also have fun doing.
