I had a old clawfoot tub that they wanted to convert into a shower. It was a little difficult to install by myself but with two people I think it would be pretty simple. Overall did what it was supposed to do

The house I’m listing to sell has a claw footing bathtub. This showering system is a a replacement to a funky old one. I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars for similar system, since they can cost that much. This system is good enough for me for the money. After installing the system, I came to the following assessment:1) This system is very fragile and flimsy, if you slip in the tub and fall, do not grab the piping unless you want to replace the whole system.2)The wall supporting rod is a bit too short. It should comes with choices of different length. Also, I think the ceiling supporting rod should have some kind of hook to really secure the showering rods, instead of a side screw holding it in place. 3)You must tighten the hot and cold water lines BEFORE tightening the faucet to secure it to the tub. If you don’t, it will leaks on you and you may cross thread due to improper alignment. You been warned!

One of the connectors for the shower curtain rod was missing. Luckily I had one from my old shower curtain rod and it fitted ok. The shower knobs worked as expected. Not too difficult to install. The three stars is because of the missing part.

Okay so we had issues just getting a piece loose had to buy plumbers wrenches but after that this went up fairly simply. The shower ring for the curtain is my only cringe moment as we have two braces that aren’t very thick holding a minimal size metal oval. We have a window in our bathroom so just a liner was not much of an option I put up the lightest curtain I could find and with 5 kiddos in our tribe it’s been installed and enjoyed by all with no issue thus far.

It was exactly what I needed for my old fashioned tub in my rental. Good quality construction at a reasonable price. Very happy with it.

Very poorly made. Flimsy construction, poor instructions and just a bad value for 100 bucks.This has to be my most disappointing Amazon purchase ever. It is smaller than it appears. The construction is light weight and would not hold up under heavy use.I would recommend getting a hand help sprayer and a shower curtain or a stall shower. I wish I would have immediately returned it.

I had to shorten the shower pipe since I have very low ceilings. I cut about 2 inches off each pipe, sanded off the chrome finish and used a shark bike 1/2 push connector to easily shorten the pipe. Use .

Product is as described. Base of shower pipe didn't match old tap,but rigged it to work and will save new taps for when old ones break. T joints are metal,which is good, our last ones (lasted eighteen years) were plastic. The nature of this product is not super sturdy- two thin rods holding everything. Cannot support more than the two shower curtains- or, do not pull on curtains or hang towel from hoop. When we renovated bathroom we put boards behind the drywall where the two rods would be attached. The hoop has a satin finish, last one was shiny chrome finish.

It is somewhat flimsy, but once it's up, it's good. Obviously, if you hang or pull on it, it will not support you. For what it's designed for, and what comes with it and the price, definitely, a good buy. The only real issue I had, was where the shower riser rod connects to the faucet, I had to silicone a gap, it was somewhat loose, and water was coming out from there. Once I did that, I was Golden.

set screw attachments seem a little rinkydink compared to more expensive units, but after a few weeks things are holding up.
