This is a wonderful dog life vest. I have one that I bought for my older dog. And then I got my new puppy (she is a year old now). I wanted to have it in case I visit friends who live on a lake or if I got to Galveston. After Hurricane Harvey, I had wished I had one then - just in case. So I bought this vest for the new pooch.It works like a charm!!! The weather was getting too cool for the lake or the beach, but I did use it in my large tub. I have an oversized rectangle garden tub and am using it for therapy for the pooch. I recently found out she has elbow dysplasia, and I read that hydrotherapy and swimming can be helpful for exercise for dysplasia issues. Since she is s smaller dog, I can fill up the water, sit in there with her and she swims to me. Then I turn her around and put her at the end of the tub and she swims back. We continue this for a while. The vest works perfectly at keeping her afloat. She doesn't seem to mind having it on.SIZING: Definitely following the sizing that the manufacturer provides. By their chart (of length and girth), my 17 pound dog needed a large. I was extremely skeptical that she was a large, but that is what I purchased. I had already been to a pet store at the end of the summer season and they had some on sale, but only smalls and larges. The small was too small and the large too large. BUT, the large in this product fits PERFECTLY. THEREFORE, LOOK AT THE CHART FOR SIZING - IT IS CORRECT.I like the color of this one and there is a nice zipper pocket on it. That will be handy if I go to the beach and want to keep a key or dollars in it. Also, with the color, yellow would be much easier to spot in the water than other colors (I have seen some different shades of blue that I would think are a bad choice). The reflectors on here are nice as well, but hopefully I will never need to use because I would rather not be looking for my dog in the water at night.

I own an 76 pound Olde English Bulldogge, and take him across the street to the Russian River on a daily basis. During the summer, OxFord is always wanting to swim. I have compared and tested many K9 life vests for him (and we really test them as he plays rough lol)The Ezydog Doggy Flotation Device is definitely the most effective and well made product of it's kind, period. Quality in design and materials, durability, and most importantly - it will keep your dog afloat. The way that they put the flotation parts around and on top of the dog, which allows the dog to be level, and almost above the water. They ate able to swim more naturally like this. There's an adjustable chin strap that keeps the dog's head out of water.The best part that really blew me away - the confidence level of my Oxford immediately and drastically improved! He actually crossed the river all the way to the other side, all by himself! I was so shocked. He's never even gone halfway before without freaking out. Unbelievable.After testing the Outward Bound, a couple other cheap ones, Paws Aboard and Kyjen, I also checked out the most expensive models. Body Glove, the K9 Float Coat by Ruffwear, and the Kong Sport. Some were better than others, but none of them were as quality and well made as the Ezydog. It won in each category I rated it in. Looks like it will last a long long time too, something that most others didn't appear to be as durable. Not even close.Their customer service is also a factor of my evaluation. They answer their phone, listen to you, and are very obviously into making the best possible products for people that want the very best for their Doggy.I highly recommend and endorse this excellent product. You can believe me when I tell you that wouldn't hesitate if my review was the opposite. I have no problem telling people if something sucks, none whatsoever. So I like to be equally as enthusiastic and honest in my positive reviews. I could not be any happier with my purchase, and will definitely look to this small but very passionate company for the next product I need for my boy.If you are a Safety First kinda person like me - the Ezydog is thee very safest Dog Flotation Device on the market. My one dog has always loved to swim, but when she was 5, she developed an inner ear problem that lead to her getting vertigo. The first time she tried to swim after that was managed, she went to turn, rolled, and just sunk. I got other life jackets for her to try, and each of them had the same result as if she wasn't wearing them at all. This one is amazing, though. I don't think she'd be able to roll over in this if she tried.It is a little bulkier than the other life jackets I've seen/tried (just as far as abilty to fold and pack up to transport; it is not any heavier and it doesn't affect her ability to walk, run, jump, or swim at all), but for the ease of mind of having one that actually helps to protect my dog, I'm ok with it taking up a little more space in my closet.It has held together well over the years, but we haven't used it as much as those that live closer to water or have a pool might.My only problem with it is that I had to get my dog a rash guard because without it, the straps left her chest and abdomen pretty raw.

I have 2 Great Danes and one is 170lbs… I was sceptical because I wasn't sure it would do the trick but our 170lb male fell out of our boat this week end and it kept him afloat, thankfully!
