This hoop was easy to assemble and is exactly what I was looking for. I needed something smaller than a full size that would allow me to spin easily [I am quilting celtic knot shapes!] and use both hands. The wood is smooth and the spin mechanism sometimes needs tightening but that is easy to do.

Easy to put together. Very sturdy. I love that the hoop turns so you can move it while working. Makes quilting a ton easier!

I purchased this and instantly returned it. Read description and examine the actual dimensions. I would have had difficulty quilting with this size hook, but the main reason I returned it, was the way it would have needed to sit around me as I quilt. It would not fit right around the cushion, so for me it wasn't worth the money to have to sit in a different room. Save yourself some time and review all dimensions before you order. Okay for light weight or small quilts.

If you have anything larger than a wall hanging it wants to tip over. Also came with missing hardware. Had to run to the next town to get what was needed.

I've used this product for a week and I really like it. It's sturdy enough to handle a full size quilt, and small enough to easily reach the across the diameter of the hoop.Things I would like to have different is a sleeve inside the clamp screw holes on the outer ring. The threads of the bolt saw against the inside of the wooden clamp and I've noticed sawdust when taking it on and off. I think if there was a metal sleeve or bushing inside it would eliminate the wear and make it easier to adjust it when taking it on and off.Overall I'm happy with it and know I'll be using it frequently.

Love how this hoop can adjust in so many directions to make it easier to quilt while sitting on couch and move work around.

IT IS VERY UNSTABLE, also the wing nut is very hard to turn,and does not get very tight. The base is very unstable also. I do a lot of quilting and will not by another. It is great for my back, since it comes up to the chair
