[Don't apply heat - Polyester can melt]. Less expensive to use than 100% cotton, cotton blends, or other more expensive batting. Purchased to use with pillows I was making. Made sure the fabric was ironed/pressed first.I used a piece to line the inside front and inside back of the pillow (one layer per side). I was able to topstitch the fabric and the poly batting together without needing a third layer -- Fabric on top and batting underneath. Made the pillow softer before stuffing. {Cleaned sewing machine after doing this project.}

Making crib quilts for charity. These are the right size and weight. Cost less at Hobby Lobby but could not get the amount I needed. Bonus: came to my door, no going out in poor weather!

Review dated: 11-15-2024, Revision: A...I bought this stuff to line the inside of my large stereo speakers, to hopefully improve the bass and overall sound. My speakers are radio shack sts-1000. These are 100w (200w peak), rated speakers. My AV receiver is rated for 100w RMS.I added two layers.The first layer, I glued it to the inside, on every panel.The 2nd layer was just hand laid around where the woofer base speaker is located, while trying to dam up the rest of the box (the midrange and tweaters, are already sealed by design from the inside).Before if I stuck my head inside the cut out for the woofer and spoke, it had a ringy echoy-like effect. Not any more. I look forward to hearing the sound difference, I hope it sounds better.If I were to do this over, I'd use woole insulation agents the inside of the wood box and then use just one layer of this poloyfillt as the outermost layer.This all got done because the woofers seround decomposed. requiring ether the woofer speakers to be replaced, or repaired. I chose repaired because the hole cutout was 1/4in smaller that what appears to be the standard for a 12 inch wofer base speaker. And I don't own a router. And there's risk that the replacement speakers wouldn't sound right.

I have a little garden pond that gets really green after the long harsh winter. When I start up the pump, it looks like pea soup. A few years back I had found a video where someone used 100% polyester fiber fill in their filter to clean the pond. Well, I am happy to say I have done this the past 2 years and it really works wonderfully, especially until my pond plants take over and do their job. The price and thickness of Fairfield Poly-Fil Low-Loft Batting is just right for me. I can rinse and reuse a couple times, then I cut a new piece when needed. Just don't wrap it directly around the pump to avoid clogging. You can put the pump in a filter box and wrap the box, or use it in a water feature that just lets water pass thru. With a little online searching, you can find exactly how to do this.
