This not only looks like, but also functions as an ordinary Sharpie. I had to get a blue one because I have a few black Sharpie's already, and I would never be able to tell them apart. It perfectly fits folded and rolled up paper money. You might need a tweezers to pull the money out again, but that's easy enough. Very impressed with it.

I was so excited for this neat little gadget. I can't believe it actually writes! And it's identical to the real thing; I just can't get over it.However, I bought this to keep a little stash of rolled up bills inside, but they don't fit. They stick out too far, and the top won't fit over the roll, even when I only use a single bill. Sad.I'll still find a use for it, even if I have to fold the bills in half. Still highly recommend, but be sure what you're putting inside will fit into the barrel of a Sharpie, or that it won't hinder the top from screwing to the base.

The length of the product inside is less that the width of a US dollar. Even if one rolls a few bills tightly so that they can slide inside, the top will not screw on the base. Non-US currency is typically wider than the US dollar, so it's even less well suited for those. Useless.

I had a little bit of money in there and some diamond stud earrings nobody ever knew they were there my house is just broken too and they were right there when I got up. And it's got a pretty decent sports still in space I mean but just remember it's the size of a sharpie a fat sharpie

I bought this to hide some MONEY -- say, $20-$40 (American money) -- in my car for those occasional times when I'm at a store and realize I've forgotten my wallet & all my cash at home.Simple idea: unscrew the top section, roll up a bill or two, stick the roll into the the long tube section, replace the previously-unscrewed section, and... WHOOPS, Oh, no!! The rolled-up bills are too long to fit into the space inside this fake Sharpie pen!! If you follow my sequence of photos... you'll see where this product fails. Majorly! And it wasn't even close. The storage space is so short that, with the money roll inside, there is a gap so that there's no chance of even getting the threads in each section to re-engage. In one picture, the rolled bill barely goes into the blue writing section (the space isn't enough to make the visible margin on the bill to disappear. When the bill is in the long section, the entire margin is visible, plus a little bit. So this has NO CHANCE OF WORKING!). Rolling up a bill or two is already a tight-ish squeeze. Folding bills along their length is going to cause the bill(s) to jam into the barrel (rolling a bill folded lengthwise makes the roll MORE THAN twice as thick diameter-wise; try it and see...)I thought to myself... Maybe they made it a different length from the real Sharpie pen so there'd be no copyright or patent issues. Well, I measured the fake Sharpie against a real one along with a ruler, and the fake one IS a different length (see picture): about 1/4" shorter. If exact length were a problem, and they needed to make it a different length, why didn't the manufacturer make the pen LONGER??! It boggles the mind that someone could've designed something to make it near-impossilbe for one to use it for one of its main purposes! One last ding: The top section, in order to make it a pen that writes, has ACTUAL ink in it. When I pulled the bill after trying to use it, I found that ink stained the bill (you can see this in the various & the last picture). Better would've been for the mfr to SEAL the ink compartment from the storage compartment.Again, as per title: This is a GREAT IDEA, but the execution was poor. For what this is, it's NOT an inexpensive item. (With tax, this was almost $8) I don't mind paying a little bit more for things; but I DO expect them to work!! This item is getting returned.
