Super smooth surface, just a thin coat of transparent gesso did the job on prepping the wood panel to receive paint. The wood grain is so pretty that I decided to keep it apparent as my piece’s background. The (great) 2-pack deal is a plus.

Love these wooden canvases. I use them for my art and they are perfect. The surface is smooth, easy for painting. The thickness gives it more of an expensive look to your art.

It's in excellent shape. No dings, no splinters. It's very smooth. I still give it a light sanding & gesso before painting. I'm very pleased w/purchase!!

I have ordered more than a few of these wood panels from Falling in Art. They are priced competitively and packaged very well. The panels are well made and I have not had a single issue. Very happy with their products.

I was on a deadline and my local art store was out of the size I needed so I ordered these. The back bracing sticks out past the panel (see picture) and is poorly constructed. The wood is split (see picture) and I am unable to use it for what I needed. I managed to salvage one in the 2 pack (I wouldn’t have used it at all but I was on a deadline) and I am concerned about it holding together. I would not recommend these panels and would avoid this brand.
