I was expecting these rulers/tools to be made of a thicker plastic -- something more like the quilting rulers I use. These are quite light weight and flexible. I am not yet sure whether that is an advantage, disadvantage or doesn't matter. So far, it hasn't made a difference. I have used them when altering a pattern to another size and needing a nice curve to connect new lines such as at a sleeve cap, etc. Previously, I've free-handed (trying to follow the curve of other sizes) those sort of lines and not been happy. These rulers give me curves that are much more like those used in most patterns.Please bear in mind that I've never been trained in pattern drafting. I've only seen it done on YouTube, etc. For my very amateur use, they tools have worked well.

These are well made and great for sewing. I use the. For all of my patterns. I definitely think the price point was wonderful because I was thinking I would have to find each piece separately. Plus, the added bonus is that all of my tools match!

It's dangerously thin and flimsy, but in pattern making you will get use out of it - especially the french curve. If you're serious about pattern cutting I would recommend getting a thicker and larger ruler (more expensive as well; such as a Pattern Master and or a Couture Master), but this does get the job done.I often found the french curve too small to reach both point A and B; but definitely workable.

For the money, this is a spectacular value! These aren’t super thick, but are a good size, measurements are well marked, and they’re easy to use. Great for beginners. If you’re going to stick with pattern-making, you’ll likely want to invest in a thicker material (but they are much more expensive)!

These aren't super thick but they do the trick! I'm a beginner at making my own patterns and find them easy to use and sturdy enough. If I were a professional, I would want something more durable, and I may eventually but for the price these are perfect!Update - I realized the major downside to these is the measurements are not in inches or cm. They’re great for tracing lines but forget measuring.

I didn’t know I needed these. They help me to draw beautiful curves when making soles for my sandals. Nice kit. I can’t compare it to other kits, but I’m pleased.

I have a lot of professional tools, but this set is an exciting addition to my collection. Good value for the money and I can share with my family without worry that my expensive tools will be broken.
