Arrived promptly and performs just as well as its predecessor. These allow the reed to vibrate with more freedom than metal ligatures and with more security than soft ligatures. I rate them as a very superior product at a bargain price.

A great Ligature for the price. Just make sure it is tight on the clarinet mouthpiece.

I acquired this ligature because it was said to be especially compatible with Legere synthetic reeds. I attempted to mount the reed to my mouthpiece using the LUYBEN ligature after reading the directions. On my very first attempt to use the ligature the threads stripped out. The ligature is totally useless. This is a very, very poor product. Do not buy it.

Great ligature for me! Rather durable, no worries of breaking it or of it warping. Personally this really helped with ease and clarity of my articulation though YMMV. Fits well with reeds with thinner stocks like Mitchell Luries as well as thicker stocks like Vandoren V21s.

I've tried others but always return to a Luyben. My first one has served me for nearly 50 years. I only bought this one because I now have an A as well as a Bb soprano. I like that one is white and the other black. Makes it easier to tell them apart during quick instrument changes.

An amazing ligature. I was a bit doubtful when I first saw it but after I had followed the instructions (tighten fully etc) it worked wonderfully.

It's inexpensive and lasts 3 to 6 months before the screws start stripping out. Buy several of these, or buy a higher quality one; our band director likes the Rovner Dark so I bought that one after my second Luyben.
