This worked somewhat ok for me to attach a lampshade to an old lamp that hangs on a wall. I rewired the lamp, and tried about 3 lampshades, and I couldn't find any adaptar to get this shade on this lamp, until this pack of rings. It fit the shade, but not quite on the lamp itself, until I tool a knife and screwdriver and hammer to modify the inner part of the ring. I had to carve out a little, and took a screwdriver and had to bang and break some of it off a little bit to get it to the right size. But I finally got the shade on the lamp, and it hasn't fallen off, so I think it worked.

Was hopping to interlock 2 for a tighter fit but that didn't work.
