I like the ability to separate my house from my other keys. It makes for good security when giving my car key to a parking attendant or car wash worker. This titanium key chain is more study and longer lasting than some of the cheap similar key chains available at Walmart of Auto parts stores.

Love it, it’s small and it disconnects very easily while keeping your engine running and going back into your house for whatever you forgot. Functionally works great! I’m a retired machinist, I understand quality!

My apartment complex added new gated access and everyone needs a key fob to get in. The problem is you have to reach out your car window and wave the fob about an inch away from the machine, And you need the same fob to get into your individual apartment. So the best way to Cary it is on your key ring. But to wave the fob I would need to take my car keys out of the ignition or Cary two separate sets of keys. This detachable key ring keeps me from having to turn off my car every time I want to open the gate to enter my parking lot.I was a little confused at first with how to release - It is not a twist - it works like a finger trap toy where you push together to release.The whole contraption is a little larger than I want, but it is easy to detach while never coming apart unintentionally.

I used a similar attachment for warming up my truck in the winter time. I have a 99 blazer with the fob that is separate of a key which is not a chipped key. I is great to be able to separate your ignition key from the fob and lock the car while it is running. It is also great if the wife forgets something in the house and you can give her the main fob and keep the car running. The collar is not dissimilar to an air chuck with a ball bearing slip collar. It is very sturdy and I'm sure it will last a long time. It isn't hard to use, but takes dedicated manipulation to separate the key sets. In oother words, you won't accidentally lose half your keys.

It may just be a property of the titanium but after a few days I found the swivel a little bit "sticky" I chalked it up to just needing to break in a bit as I was used to stainless steel ones built with a little looser tolerances... It's now been a few months and nothing has changed... It's nice and sturdy but if you are a fidgeter like me you'll find it annoying that it doesn't swivel the two parts smoothly.
